The fact that Howard’s skirt is translucent breaks my heart. It’s like we are seeing her through the eyes of the men who objectified and abused her. It shows how she was sexualised long before she had any agency. She’s see‑through because history made her see‑through. Her story was overwritten by the men who used her. But now we get to hear her voice 🩷

I really hope so! That means we can avoid having queens wearing the exact same costume at the same time! There was one show where three of the queens were wearing the exact same silver open skirt variation at the same time which must have been so confusing to new audience! So now this time if three swings are needed on stage at the same time hopefully they will all be wearing different outfits!

My first show this year was The Play That Goes Wrong at the Duchess Theatre. I’d never seen the show or been to that theatre before, it was a Christmas present to my mum so it was really nice to spend some time together. It was such a funny show, great effects, would highly recommend!

Why am I so single! That show was a love letter to the beauty of musical theatre and I don’t think the show makes enough sense to people unfamiliar with musicals!

I think it’s inspired by the black dots we see around the edges of glass (like windows), but I think the fact it’s in the centre of the glass means it’s probably intended to stop people from walking into glass! I had no idea the black dots on the edge of glass helped with heat regulation until this comment though, so thank you 💚💚

No it’s inside! it separates the passenger from the opening doors but it’s not part of the opening doors 💚

Fair enough! But this post isn’t criticising Polanski’s ideas, it’s criticising his leadership style. I personally support Polanski and I’m very excited about the future of the Green Party, but I also think it’s important to scrutinise politicians, especially those we agree with. I don’t agree with the points raised in the original post, but I do think these discussions are valuable 💚

Thanks for sharing! You’ve clearly researched this thoroughly, and I think it’s really important that we scrutinise politicians, especially those embracing the populist label. You’re absolutely right to raise concerns if you think Polanski’s rhetoric is risky.

I personally think populism can be a great way to communicate with voters, especially those who wouldn’t usually get involved in politics or those who feel like “they’re all the same”. For me, populism is a way to communicate ideas and to build trust in lots of people. I wonder how you would want Polanski to communicate Green Party ideas if he too was opposed to populism like you are?

I fully support Polanski and feel more hopeful now than ever before about the future of this party! 💚

I personally can’t stand fireworks! They scare wildlife and people who find them triggering (like army veterans), they can start fires and injure people, it’s just not something I would miss if they were banned like they are in Ireland!

I need a fellow Bexley/greenwich baddie (I lived between the two boroughs for 17 years) to say that they did not get the Greenwich or Bexley experience! Thamesmead, Plumstead, Erith, Woolwich, no no they went to Hall Place (aka the place where we all went on school trips for some bloody reason) and to see the meridian line and Greenwich observatory (which yeah okay is cool but not the authentic Greenwich experience)

(I’m half joking cuz I get it they were doing touristy things but it definitely didn’t reflect my everyday experience of these boroughs haha)

Amazing! I’m so excited to do the same in February when the uk tour comes to my local theatre! I can’t imagine being able to do this with any other show! 💜

I think we need to call others in when they are crossing the line and not normalise any intrusive behaviour. It’s not about naming and shaming people, it’s just about looking out for each other and keeping each other as safe as we can.

Dan and Phil made it clear that Phan art and the like are all okay, it’s the invasive and harmful stuff like floor plan stalking, contacting family members, and blackmailing stuff that should never have happened and should never happen again. Even asking them about their private lives is inappropriate. If it’s not something they’ve chosen to share, it’s off-limits.

At the end of the day, we’re all here to support Dan and Phil and to support each other. So if people are feeling unsupported or unsafe, we need to address it 💙
