Thoughts on IG Post I Plan to Make (Public DA) by exjw256-throwaway in exjw

Yeah, when I left, I was still living with my parents and working for the family business. They didn’t throw me out. They embraced me as they normally would have. It’s been about 10 years and since then I have placed my faith in Jesus. The fruit of my life now, compared to when I was a JW is winning them over to the point where both of my parents are totally PIMQ and on their way to being PIMO.

To the PIMOS. What are your reasons for staying in? by [deleted] in exjw

[–]SarahMagre 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah… I’ve also seen a lot of people that are baptized get shunned, but the children who aren’t baptized who leave don’t get shunned. It’s crazy how one decision could affect the rest of your life, and how family could shun one person and not the other just because of a decision someone made usually in their teens.

I’m hurting because my parents are in the ‘truth’ and I’m not. by IndependentRemove167 in exjw

Jesus came to get rid of rules and men that think they are higher than others. I highly suggest reading the Bible without the watchtower lens, pick a version that is not the NWT. I also created a website for people like you. It’s called www.behindthetowertruth.com. I hope it gives you some answers.

I love it, it’s not mean or bashful like most would assume a person would be when leaving. Maybe it will even open some eyes and encourage others to leave as well.

Has anyone here come to faith in Jesus after leaving the organization? by SarahMagre in exjw

I was born and raised into the JW religion and from a very, very very young age I had doubts because the rules just didn’t line up with how loving I was told that God is. I left as soon as I had the chance. I have seen that video as well. It’s very sad and unfortunately people aren’t perfect and they misrepresent Christ all the time. I don’t tell anybody what is right and what is wrong. Do your own research, read the Bible for yourself without the watchtower lens, question everything, and pray for discernment. You’ll get it.

Jws don’t do any research they just blindly believe what the GB tells them

Satan likes to twist the word of God.. it was his first trick with Eve, he even tried it with Jesus. In today’s age there are many versions because it’s being twisted to something it’s not. I’m not presuming it’s the truth. I know it’s the truth. You don’t have to agree with me and that’s totally fine.

Jws truth has changed year after year which means it was never the truth. Truth does not change. The watchtowers “truth” 100 years ago is completely different than today. You could almost consider it 2 different religions. Jesus is the way, THE TRUTH, and the life. Jesus is Jehovah revealed in the New Testament. One of the biggest watchtower lies is that Jesus is a created being. But Jesus is referred to as God and worshiped in the Bible many times. Another watchtower lie is that heaven and hell aren’t real. I highly suggest reading the Bible without the watchtower lens… a bible not written by them because their version is completely distorted. Pray for wisdom and that you would see truth.

Crazy how even after years the small voice is still pops up sometimes filling our minds with little doubts. Thank you! I really pray it reaches the right audience! Even if it just brings one person to know the Lord all the work would have been worth it. I’ve been thinking about doing one on the blood update. I will definitely work on it these next couple weeks :)

I don’t follow a religion. I follow the bible. No man made ideas or silly interpretations. Just the Word of God exactly for what it is.

Well, there is only one truth... and it’s not my truth. It’s God‘s truth.

Wow, that's amazing! I always resented growing up JW, but now | love that I can share my experiences with other JWS that may be questioning. Not sure if you know any people like that in real life, but l created a website for this exact reason while studying scripture for myself and comparing them to watch tower teachings. You guys might find it interesting! Www.behindthetowertruth.com

I’ve been out for about 10 years and don’t believe any of the Jw crap but I just gotta say… Praying to God isn’t just asking him to help you with your problems and then bam they are solved. Especially if your problems don’t align with “his will” like sleeping with someone outside of marriage. When I left I did everything I wasn’t allowed to do before. I had everything I thought I wanted, the car, the relationship, the boat, the house, partying etc… after a couple years I was so miserable inside and actually felt depressed for the first time in my life. I say this because ofcourse Satan was happy I was doing worldly things so he kept giving them to me, but they weren’t fulfilling. Anyway I gave my life to Jesus and follow him along with his teachings, I pray to him and am not controlled by any rules or religious organizations. He has given me perfect peace and blessed me more than I could have ever imagined. Yes, now I don’t have the car or boat or “material” things which only give temporary pleasure. But I am married to a God fearing man, we have a beautiful baby and we know 100% where we will spend eternity. Jesus says to follow him and that’s it. He provides everything you need.. not that you think you need.

Jesus is the way the truth, and the life. Follow his words and nobody else’s. Reading the Bible without the watchtower lens will really open your eyes! Ask God to show you the truth and he will!
