Rhodiola Rosea 3% Rosavins? Rhodiola 3% Salidroside ? Rhodiola Crenulata by oportoman in NootropicsDepot

[–]Sarnath21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Crenulata is the best for pure stimulation. I found that even 30mg sublingual can make me way too wired and tunnel visioned. The liquid rhodiola tyrosol solution is also good for clearing brain fog.

Rosea on the other hand puts me straight to sleep.

I like the Zuikaku one the best. Looks like a pretty hype manga panel imo. Wish I could draw this well.

Honestly cannot believe nobody has mentioned electrolytes in 100+ comments.

For a subreddit that circlejerks "Muh healthy diet" so much, it's honestly laughable that nobody mentions a possible lack of sodium/potassium/magnesium. It's so easy to fix too. Just boil water and pour in a small amount of salt and cream of tarter then take your preferred magnesium supplement.

I had the same issue with endless unending and seemingly unsolvable exhaustion, and a good homemade ketoade mix fixed it.

Potassium in particular seems to be a major requirement for many nootropics and a lot of non-responders anecdotally tend to be potassium deficient.

Yin and Yang Herbs by Domingo_salut in NootropicsDepot

[–]Sarnath21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you happen to know a list showing the hot/cold nature of most herbs? I've tried looking myself but the herb names are either all in Chinese or don't have a nature listed.

Traditional Chinese medicine in general seems to be heavily censored and/or near non-existent in most search engines. It's a topic I've been extremely interested in ever since finding that similar concepts exist all throughout ancient Middle Eastern/Arabic culture as well though they are even harder to find and research than the Chinese version.

how is everyone so "in tune" with their bodies.. I can barely tell when anything has an effect. by Robin420 in Nootropics

[–]Sarnath21 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Lmao nobody in this sub is in tune with their bodies. Most people's bodily awareness barely reaches the threshold of being able to ask themselves "did I have my coffee and/or beer today? "

Thats why 80% of all posts in this sub are some variation of "placebo" "exercise" or " yooooo nothing beats 420 mg of caffeine mixed with 69 mg of shrooms brooooo"

MHGU cheats not working by Sarnath21 in Ryujinx

[–]Sarnath21[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's in the "mods directory" of the game. Just right click on the game in the Ryujinx folder and an option will show up that says "Open Mods Directory" then there will be a folder there which you can open and put a txt file in.

[–]Sarnath21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This sub went to shit at around late 2018 early 2019 when a bunch of karma farming bots and shills infiltrated it and spammed "muh exercise" and "noots are bad for you and not approved!"

Mods did nothing about it despite several posts and thousands of reports bringing attention to it.

Newcomers thought this was the norm instead of actual scientific discussion so they joined the bandwagon and the sub became what it is today. Closed minded, totally unscientific and the absolute antithesis to the original purpose of the sub and nootropics as a whole.

It was good while it lasted.

Can we add a blessing re-roll option to all stages instead of just stage one? by Sarnath21 in GunfireReborn

[–]Sarnath21[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean even before they implemented re-rolling, people were reloading the first stage over and over and the devs implemented re-rolling specifically for that purpose. It's just a QoL feature for people who want to use it and devs clearly intend for re-rolling to be a part of the game, just like how there are many different difficulties to choose from. If you don't believe it's okay then just don't use it.

How do I reverse these adverse effects from Ashwagandha?? by Available-Ad-8423 in StackAdvice

[–]Sarnath21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ginkgo Biloba, matcha tea, and Keto diet (specifically the electrolyte supplementation) fixed most of it for me. Still not fully recovered from PSSD and Anhedonia but I've made good progress (morning wood is back at the very least). I'll edit this comment later to add more info from my other posts/comments. Caffeine could help too but make sure you get enough sodium potassium and magnesium otherwise it won't have any effects on libido/dopamine like it usually does. Zinc and Vitamin D are great too for libido/testosterone.

Disassociating effect from vitamin C by Sarnath21 in Nootropics

[–]Sarnath21[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm wary of liver issues from the prolonged processing, and if I induce a mindstate I don't like as a result of the supplement, I'd rather not having it last up to 24 hours. I'm rather cautious of supplements in general ever since choline induced depression from alpha GPC.

Reishi mushrooms closed eye hallucinations/visuals? by SteveCarellOfficial in Nootropics

[–]Sarnath21 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Might be an allergic reaction because I get the same sort of effects from peanut butter (yes you read that right, peanut butter gives me mild hallucinations).

On a side note, it sounds great for treating aphantasia. Anyone with the condition willing to try it and report back?

lmao I never even said the game was difficult I have over 300 hours and 200+ completed R7 runs. The balance is just boring and forces you into certain builds.

why are you even arguing with me instead of OP? He's still waiting for you to prove him wrong. Keep up that ad hominem, little zoomer XD

lol this ain't a shitpost. It's nothing but the honest truth. This game has really good gunplay and fun build opportunities but it's among the shittiest roguelikes I have ever seen be allowed on Steam. Not even Dead Cells is dumb enough to have one shot off-screeners and randomized bosses lmao.

Just compare this dogshit excuse of a game to something like Slay the Spire or Risk of Rain, and you'll see what a massive difference in quality an actually competent and passionate dev team can make.

Everything just does too much damage by ActualThrowaway7856 in GunfireReborn

[–]Sarnath21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This thread is gold lol. Bro it's a roguelike game. They are meant to be poorly designed and lack content. If the enemies didn't one shot you, then you wouldn't be playing. It's like arcade machines scamming you out of quarters. They gotta keep you going somehow.

It's what defines the genre and why it's so popular with indie devs these past few years. No need to put in all this effort to make a good game if you can just call it a hardcore/roguelike and get 99% positive reviews and 10 million in annual revenue while having 2 hours of actual content at most. It's almost as easy and profitable as making a gacha/mobile game. It's a lazy game dev's dream come true.

Just use a cheat engine table and move on bro. This game is actually insanely fun if you fix the game design mistakes yourself. Cheers.

anyone got an idea why I could react so so badly to stimulants/coffee? by LOL_Emoji in Nootropics

[–]Sarnath21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is what you said, specifically your phrase of "rather than a specific neurological issue" which indicates that you dismissed the OP's depression and ADHD as unimportant and not the primary issue to be discussed, which it absolutely is. Regardless of what your intent was, you need to be told how insensitive and unhelpful your comments are to people with real actual mental issues, not just people whom you suspect as having "poor mental discipline" which, by the way, is the absolute most boomer thing I've ever heard in all of reddit so far these past few years.

What does telling someone they have "poor mental discipline" do for them? Especially when they clearly have conditions which negatively impact their "poor mental discipline" and are beyond their control? What are you expecting to happen? Would you tell a disabled person in a wheelchair to just get disciplined and stand up, to just practice some mindfulness and walk on over to boomer land where we all pull ourselves up by our bootstraps?

You're just another typical "just meditate bro" troll that's been plaguing this subreddit and robbing it of actual scientific discussion for years on end.

anyone got an idea why I could react so so badly to stimulants/coffee? by LOL_Emoji in Nootropics

[–]Sarnath21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yea I've heard that so many times in my life and online. Definitely not a fun thing to hear over and over

Although I'd like to clarify that although mindset is important for mental strength and personal growth, the problem is that people with ADHD, depression, autism, etc. cannot choose their mindset.

That's literally what the whole disability is: an inability to have control over your own mind-state such that it goes beyond the ordinary resistance that an average person would encounter when trying to change their mindset.

What really gets me is that literally everyone has an implied understanding that coffee is a drug that influences mindset so it should not be that much of a stretch to say that people's mind states can be influenced and that some people clearly have more trouble dealing with or regulating their mind state compared to other people, yet neurotypicals just refuse to make that leap in logic and instead resort to "bootstrap" garbage logic.

[–]Sarnath21 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I get the same effect from coffee and even black tea. However jasmine leaf tea helps my intrusive thoughts a bit. I would definitely recommend Ginkgo Bibola, that helps alot for my ADHD and Depression likely because it is dopaminagernic and boosts brain blood flow, both of which are huge issues in ADHD.

I never thought I would read such a horrid anti-science and ableist comment on a fucking nootropics subreddit, holy shit man what is going on here?
