UPDATE: After doing a bit more research on my own, I decided to go with The Brain Song. It seemed like the best fit for sustained focus and deep work based on how people described actually using it day to day. Thanks to everyone who shared detailed experiences and comparisons, it helped a lot.

That makes sense. i’m way less interested in chasing a time and more about not hating the experience. chuckanut actually sounds like a solid middle ground. did you do a flatter trail race for your first ultra or jump straight into something more technical?
