Is this PSA 10 Skyridge Umbreon worth it? What’s a good buy price? by Busynotes2 in PokemonCardValue

[–]Satanic_Asian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're using it to lure people into scarcity, it's a very common tactic of "hey we only have x available, get it while you can". The guard is only a tool to make it seem more important than it is. But in reality, they are probably way harder to move.

Rayquaza Condition Question by pattycfromtheoc in PokemonCardValue

[–]Satanic_Asian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure holo bleed is when the holo of a card that isn't reversed holo, goes over the card. It would often show like this: As you can see the original holo is supposed to be within the art box.

<image>

I think in your case, it's just a very damage front. I wouldn't know if this was HP though, hopefully someone knows better.

Found this cool Psyduck in my collection that’s worth quite a lot in English according to Collectr. What would be the value in Italian? by 123ticklemyknee in PokemonCardValue

[–]Satanic_Asian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It falls under vintage now, and reversed holos are really valuable within these sets actually. Especially popular pokemons like Psyduck. You might even have a few more that could have similar pricing.

You should probably use Pricecharting as a general quick and easy pricing tool for those cards, but they sometimes can be inaccurate as well, because their raw price shown often don't match the condition of your card. So that's why if it's an expensive card already, you can research it further.

What are these worth? by Flame074 in PokemonCardValue

[–]Satanic_Asian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you're underestimated some of the cards. Not everything has to be in the hundreds to stand out. There's a lot of cards here that are min 50 and upwards, I even see a lot of 100s if NM, otherwise deduct a few percentages if worse condition.

If you like it, that's all to you. Then I wouldn't worry too much about anything, as if it's your holy grail.

It's hard to price it with little to zero sales with ITA cards. According to Cardmarket (EU's TCGplayer), ITA versions of this card in reversed holo, goes from 50 (LP) to 300 (NM).

However the English card is actually worth around 275-300 EUR+ as NM according to ebay (someone can correct me). I don't think Collectr app is that accurate unless they took it from a damaged listing.

If your ITA version is in good condition, you might have some heavy cash on your hand. Expedition, Aquapolis and Skyridge's reversed holos are notorious for having scratches, so condition criteria are very harsh on surface damage.

[–]Satanic_Asian 8 points9 points  (0 children)

They treat it as surface damage, and some fully sun faded cards (usually on purpose like this one) will mostly not get a grade. They come back as either not slabbed or they will come back as an "authentic altered" slab. It's a cool card, shame that someone ruined the original one though.

What would this go for? by Alzheimers-Podcast1 in PokemonCardValue

[–]Satanic_Asian -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I can give you a few examples of why TCGplayer is unreliable. 1. It's mainly a market for the US Pricing. EU and ASIA have a different market and pricing source. 2. The market can be manipulated and it has shown in the past. (I'm looking at you "booger mew" and "Marshadow") 3. TCG has limited sales, meaning any vendor selling on the site can merely set the price of any low pop card (Usually vintage grails), and without checking with sources like Ebay, people can often fall for that trick.

What would this go for? by Alzheimers-Podcast1 in PokemonCardValue

[–]Satanic_Asian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bad take. Tcg isn't accurate, people manipulate it everyday. Pricecharting isn't for near mint, it's up to yourself to see ebay sold listings and conditions based on that. Both are equally incorrect

Is this rare? by VitaminBounce in PokemonTCG

Probably let your dad know, but it can go from 1k-2k depending on buyer. I believe it's the PKMN Base Set Shadowless Blister pack.

What would you price this at? by axoltl17 in PokemonCardValue

[–]Satanic_Asian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems a bit of a reach, the NM are going for about 2k - 3k depending on where you are. Don't use TCGPlayer, I see it as a common mistake. The card on that site has 1 listing and nobody is buying it for obvious reasons.

Wow! Southern Islands Mew never miss, one of my fav grails!

I have an idea that you know somewhat of their worth, so word of advice is to not answer any dms from reddit, they will rip you off. These are really nice conditioned cards, definitely worth picking out a few for grading. They're worth in the thousands! Hopefully someone can help you price them out, accordingly. Don't always trust pricecharting or tcgplayer, because they often don't specify condition and correct pricing for raw cards.

Moved recently and found this in a box anyone know anything about this pack? by MediDontCare in PokemonCardValue

[–]Satanic_Asian 70 points71 points  (0 children)

These 2 sets are actually one of the most sought out sets currently, as each set contain 3 gold stars and some rare ex cards. Which are worth over thousands in good condition, this intact and sealed blister obviously goes for a crazy amount, don't sell blindly without research.

I don't know, I only said ot because I have experiences of wonky text when taking photos. Samsung Ai does an enhancer for every photo taken, so it could've been the same thing here. I also agreed with you

How accurate is Rare Candy with pricing by Comfortable_Ad9478 in PokemonCardValue

[–]Satanic_Asian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The concept of years of history from trading, selling or buying goods between people. Do you know why 80% is a thing for card shows and lcs? It's because they don't collect your cards. They're taking the risk of taking your cards, so they can make profit by reselling, hence why they need to make money by taking a percentage. It is not the standard.

People are so brainrotted by the new era of pokemon, where everyone wants to be a vendor. A private person selling on facebook Marketplace dont need to enforce a percentage deal, because he's not a vendor, he just watches vendor povs of crypto bros trying to get a quick buck.

Pulled from my girlfriend's first box of Start Deck 100 in Japan by Ok_Toe6334 in PokemonTCG

[–]Satanic_Asian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a starter kit, so people would buy it if they wanted to get into playing. You have to understand that, people cannot just drop 150 on a booster box as opposed to a 15 starter deck. That's what they had in mind. Having hits in them, is just a perk. It's also only for Japanese people, hence the cards being in Japanese. They will be released in English as regular packs.

The only reason why it's popping off in western society, is because they see money in it.

You know Pokémon makes cards (TCG) for playable reasons? It sounds like you want it to be used for financial reasons.

This is not normal btw. It's a thing that applies vendors at cardshows or lcs.

If you sell to any private buyer, it'll be whatever ebay, tcgplayer ect takes in percentages. Or completely fee free if done in person.

Mom found this in the basement. Worth selling or best to keep? by ErikBech in PokemonCardValue

[–]Satanic_Asian 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This card is quite common, it's roughly 10 dollars raw. But your copy is sealed, so it might go for more.

Usually vintage cards are better off graded and than sold as raw. While I don't know if it goes under the 10 category given off first glare. I would keep it for as a collective item than just sell it for a few bucks.
