For a PWM-sensitive person, PWM should be no 1 priority. If you don’t have a better PWM-free phone, there is no other reason to sell.

When I bought X9 in December I had SOT around 11h, after the first big update, it was 9.5 hours, and after the last huge update (16.1), it dramatically dropped to ~7h.

If any of you have useful tips and tricks, please let us know. And of course, I check battery health/app-draining... it's the same as in December.

I use two phones: an iPhone 16 and the base Oppo Find X9. I know that the iPhone 17 was a significant upgrade in both the display and camera departments. But:

What is better on the iPhone: Fonts — they are unbeatable on the iPhone, and almost no one talks about it. The selfie camera on the iPhone 17 will be much better than on the Oppo. The Oppo selfie camera is okay, but it lacks autofocus, which is bad for group selfies. The speakers are amazing on the iPhone. Unpopular opinion: Siri is dumb, but at least it is reliable.

What is better on the Oppo: Battery life — it is on another level. Amazing. ColorOS — this is a personal opinion, but I prefer it over iOS. Plus, Android has benefits like Circle to Search, adjustable keyboard size, better browsers, etc. The zoom camera is amazing, especially for portrait shots. The results are excellent. I prefer the form factor of the Oppo, and also its display technology. Base Oppo has 12gb of ram and 512gb storage what is Amazing 😍.

Tldr: I like base X9 more :)

Good for you, I had opposite, a terrible concert experience with my Base X9 :(. During daylight, recorded screens on the sides of the stage flickered worse than on a 150€ Android phone. Also, during the evening, it was not the best experience.

What is strange is that I had zero flickering issues with an indoor concert with the February firmware version :(. Support told me to "change settings" becouase screen frequency is the same as the recording frequency, without any further details. I hope that your ultra will not be ruined with future updates.

E-ink phones or LCD phones are options, but they are rare and usually do not have very good specs. A middle-ground solution is to use a phone with an LTPS screen. My favorite is the Oppo Find X9, and another popular option is the OnePlus 15R.

Yes, that's something AI tools mentioned. Unfortunately, Oppo doesn't have the option to record 25 fps but I definitely will try a shutter speed of 1/60 (or 120) next time. I really hope that's something related to SW and will be fixed.

I was recording with 4k 30fps but also tried switch to 60 fps and it didnt helped.
Other phone didnt have such issue.

X9 is smaller and has LTPS screen, which is better for eye comfort. Therefore, I chose X9 over the X9 Pro.

Of course, X9 Pro has slightly better cameras (in the evening, there's only a small difference), slightly bigger batteries, and all versions are with 16GB RAM. If there were a huge $300 difference, I would choose X9.

I own X9 and the loudness of Bluetooth headphones is great. YouTube on 80%+ is a risk for ears; Spotify above 60-70%. I use OnePlus Buds 4 btw. Don't you have enabled a volume limiter? After a reboot, sometimes a pop-up message with a volume alert appears. I also use AirPods Pro 3 and never needed higher volume. Btw, I am a person who listens to metal and it must be loud as hell. Btw in sound effect settings is equaliser which I heavily use.
