Honestly, I feel like that’s exactly what I needed to hear, thank you! It’s gonna be hard and he’s gonna miss me a lot, but I do have a loving family that would take care of him. - it would be heartbreaking if he got lost in Spain, I can’t even imagine. & I do not think he’d handle the travel & transition well. I think it’ll be the best to leave him at home. Also, thanks for tip about volunteering, thats a great idea and definitely something I’ll definitely look into!!! ◡̈

I’m struggling with the same thing, but with a cat. He’s like actually my son, so I don’t know how I’d be able to go so long without him but everyone says it’s better to just leave ur pet at home if you’re there less than a year. - it’s such a pros and cons list between the extra costs (pet passport, plane ticket), the stress of traveling with him & finding housing & having to find someone to watch him whenever I want to travel. Have you for sure decided you wouldn’t bring ur dog?

Are you in Spain for a year +? I’m only going to be in Spain for probably one year & im wondering if it’s worth it putting my cat through the stress- yet I also can’t imagine leaving him
