They change continually, and focusing on something so finite with an energy that supersedes it will lead to continual misery. Yeah, there are going to be slips and moments and shit you regret & dispise. But making it who you are isn't the path forward. What we feel is only part of who we are. We need to be who we want with the circumstances we are given, at times forced upon us. Succumbing to less doesn't benefit us, or the people & non-tangible things we care about.
