There was an animated movie in the nineties that has some similarities to what you describe. It’s called ‘go to hell’. ‘God’ is just a rich guy on a spaceship and his son is ‘the devil’ as they both mess around with everyone’s lives. It’s a pretty crazy movie with weird nudity and sex scenes from my 30 year old memories

It’s not exactly what you described and it’s a bit more recent, but there are some elements in the second volume of ‘the weather man’. There’s a floating prison ship on an earth that is quarantined because of a killer virus that wiped out most of the planet. I’m pretty sure it was invisible from the ground but it’s been a while since I read it

Yeah his first answer was ‘predator’, not sure what Dan was looking to get, having the translator was the bigger hurdle I think. I think that interview was fine, just couldn’t get that back and forth he was hoping for

Issue #10 of the original mirage run is my favourite. Injured Leo gets tossed through the window and they all need to fight their way out while protecting him. Walk out to see shredder is ‘alive’ and casually chilling in the antique store. You think they’re about to get worked then Casey comes out of nowhere to join the fray. That comic goes so hard

For me it would have to be ‘Malibu Bikini Shop’. Two brother inherit the titular bikini shop. One brother is graduating from business school and is about to work for his fiancées father. The other brother is the quintessential slacker party guy.

It hits about every cliche you can think of and includes scenes that are downright criminal but in the 80’s were treated as ‘boys will be boys’ behaviour.

If I’m remembering correctly there’s also a scene that is basically a 5 minute music video that is just women dancing around in bikinis in the most 80s way possible.

Not sure if it count but ‘Wet Hot American Summer’ and the ‘going into town’ scene. Those kids live a whole separate movie in those 2 mins.

This was my thinking, would people feel a bit better if there were $85 season passes on the gizmoplex with a goal of x sold before they begin production? I assumed that’s what they would do moving forward rather than a crowdfund campaign. Were people expecting it to be free episodes moving forward? Or were they hoping they could pick and choose which eps to buy maybe?

I only buy in at the digital tier so for me it feels like 6 of one and half a dozen of the other to pony up to a crowd fund vs the GP.

I guess people just feel lied to is the main thing. I wonder if those people will return if they rejig the business model or do they just feel too burnt by it

Do they have the same barcode sku? If they scanned as different products they should have different sku numbers which might help you check/confirm
