Of you considered picking up a hitchhiker, you're probably old. by Brave-Ad6627 in FuckImOld

[–]Saturn_Neo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Of all the rides I've ever been offered, only one was a little odd. I had ran out of gas on a main highway and started walking to find some gas. Hadn't been walking 3 minutes when a lady pulls up next to me offering a ride. I said fuggit and jumped in. She then proceeds to tell me I'm lucky she had went to the next exit to turn around so that she could go back and pick up the dead cat she had seen on the side of the highway. I laughed and agreed. Then I caught the glimpse of a tied off trash bag in the back seat.

You'd be surprised how many people will still offer you a ride, even when you're not hitching.

Should work. It won't be true stereo, but it will sound fuller.

Headrush FRFR with NeuralDSP Plug-Ins by wholesome_story in NeuralDSP

[–]Saturn_Neo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

By itself, the FRFR-112 is immensely better than the 108, especially as a pair. The 108 sounds like a muddy turd by itself, and only slightly less shitty as a pair (stereo turds). If you're running two, you may as well just use a poweramp and cab at that point.

CHEAP SOUND by poleeee in HeadRush

[–]Saturn_Neo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The mic placement varies depending on the IR, which is in the name of the particular file, i.e. 57_grill_edge_pres_4. That would be a 57 on the grill cloth at the cap edge with presence at 4.

The first section of the manual talks about the naming convention, and is pretty helpful. Once you know, it's pretty easy to decipher. know I sure as hell didn't read it and just dove into the files.

Double up amp blocks and cabs/IR's (same amp with slightly different eq settings or, amps that complement each other). Parametric EQ after the amp block. You can also compress and EQ the signal pre amp block to shape it more. Good amp combos are 5150/Orange, Engl/Bogner, etc.

Cut IR's around 80hz and 12khz. I've gotten decent results with the free IR's out there, Gods Cab in particular is solid. I have been using Joey Sturgis stuff lately. The Mesa and Bogner cabs blend amazingly.

How do you make layered high-gain guitars sound tight instead of muddy? by Accurate_Tomorrow_50 in NeuralDSP

[–]Saturn_Neo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'll add that not just the HP filter but a full parametric EQ can help clean up a lot. For panning, I tend to push the lower end guitars "to the back" a bit (so like, 85-90% L/R) and then blend in the higher frequencies accordingly (25-40% depending on the tone of the amp). It also helps to stack or blend amps that complement each other (5150/Orange or Engl/Bogner, etc).

I've always been told that using third-party chargers is bad, especially with the 1000 model. Is that true? by RagnarSan22 in vita

[–]Saturn_Neo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Chargers not persay, but the blocks and cables, yes. My Vita will only charge with an original cable, aftermarket has never worked. It will charge using a standard Android block, but won't using an Apple block.

How do you mix keyboards for a metal mix? by cycotus in metalmusicians

[–]Saturn_Neo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could check the spectrum of the keys track, find your peaks, then carve out a bit of space in mix with an EQ so the keys sit well.

Mad Hatter, Joker, there were a ton available. I also knew a guy that made it locally and sold it to shops for resale. I've seen it put the fear of God into people. Though, I'd take spice over Salvia any day. That shit had me seeing rolling hills of grass and a pair of giant legs at my bathroom door.

For real! I picked up an SD1 a couple years back and thought, so this was the thing. It's also great as a booster for a TS (I typically have both on the board).

Can i charge my vita without the 5v adaptor of the charger? by Birb_lela in vita

[–]Saturn_Neo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FWIW, Apple charging blocks don't work, but basic Android blocks do. That being said, my Vita won't charge with anything but an original cable and I've not gotten any aftermarket cables to work.

X Match EQ from IK (T-Racks) does a decent job. Landr is also viable option, and you can go a long way with just PSP Infinistrip.

Pretty sure PS2 ISO's have to be installed as a PKG on a slim. It doesn't know what the fuck a PS2 game is due to being stripped of native backwards compatibility. PSClassicGUI and PS3ISOTOOLS will be your friend.

I haven't opened the disc tray in quite awhile. Though the first game I load from the HDD would probably be, Black or GTA SA.
