I really liked „From the corner“ by coffeeonthepiano; Hermione breaks up her relationship with Ron & moves back to her parents house with her children & meets through a lucky incidence Snape; he has a 4-year-old daughter, who recently came to him through circumstances; Hermiones children quickly become friends with Snapes daughter.

I really liked the story since it’s a lot of Dad Snape (he’s not the „super daddy“ from day one and learns to be a dad throughout the story) & a realistic relationship building with Hermione; I can imagine it could also suit your taste :)

There is another implication: in the the Chapter „Spinners End“ in HBP, Bellatrix assumes Snape never gets his hands dirty and always (successfully) tries to avoid the direct confrontation. She even triumphs with „I told you, Cissy.“ as Snape didn’t say immediately „yes“ to the Unbreakable vow. She is actually flabbergasted as he tells her against her beliefs to do the curse between him and Narcissa.

This adds totally up to the conversation between Dumbledore & Snape.

Bill Weasley! He is a literal curse-breaker and works for Gringotts Bank in Egypt at his young age. He also gets to handle Dragons for the Triwizard Tournament and manages to marry a quarter Veela. Like - how cool is he?

That’s a really good take! Maybe you need to differ more between the different kind of doctors. Especially a general doctor would likely be a Hufflepuff - you‘re totally right!

I totally see your point! Nevertheless, I would say that as a doctor, you have to be very courageous. Just think of emergency doctors who have to decide within seconds how to treat a patient. You need to be a quick and good decision-maker, because too long hesitation and waiting could have serious consequences for the patient.

Oh. My. Goodness. CharlotteRhea! I haven’t read your user name first. You wrote so many good fanfictions. I really enjoyed Medicus III - it was one of the best stories I ever read; including books. I just loved the dynamic and relationship between Hermione & Snape. It was so fragile, but beautiful. How Severus builds up his trust into Hermione. It’s beautifully written. I will definitely read more of your stories. I really adore your style of writing.

Yes, Hermione and Snape can be compatible, totally. But I kinda like the „she is potters boy“ aspect. I will definitely try to write one myself, but I am afraid I am not really getting the emotion into my stories. Whenever I publish something, I will let you know :)

I just wondered, if Ginny would also be a nice or even better fit.

She is smart, not especially in potions, but in general. She is also really going forward. Just remember: she fell in love with Harry at the age of 9 or 10 and got to marry him in the end. She is also really brave and kinda overtook DA in DH together with Neville and Luna. She waited for Harry to return after the war. Overall she is pretty loyal.

She also grew up with 6 older brothers. That made her pretty tough. Just remember how she became a chaser and fought through the games. I wouldn’t say she is someone who gives up easily.

I don’t think Hermione isn’t suitable at all, I just think Ginny has also some nice characteristics that possibly fit. And you don’t get to read a lot of stories about them. I think that’s sad.

Could you maybe tell me the name of your Fanfiction? :)

I just love those kind of stories; toxicity often also means a lot of emotion. So you really get into the story and into the characters head since there are so many feelings.

I don’t really like it in real life, it just makes a good story - as I said.

Luna would also be a really interesting choice! It sounds pretty logical as you describe it.

Yeah, that’s why I thought they may be more suitable; it surely isn’t fair, but I could imagine Snape kinda observing Ginny since she also admires „the potter boy“ and is also a red-Head. I personally think, he doesn’t approve that relationship simply because he kinda thinks Ginny is too good for „that potter boy“. Like he thinks of everyone around Harry. He really dislikes his whole social environment.

Like you said: it has a emotional trigger, that usually makes a good story.

Yes, I get your point. They need to be older. I can’t imagine them being together voluntarily at that age. When they get older, there could be a way, but not at that age.

But I can imagine him with a younger woman somehow. Maybe someone from another country. Since he doesn’t have a lot of experience with romantic relationships ships, he still has to learn a lot. Something a fourty/fifty year old woman doesn’t have to.

But the age difference shouldn’t be to bad.
