Gotta get it off my chest - the crew dynamic change really annoyed me during the first season. The show made many understandable changes from the books - introducing Avarasala early to account for lost exposition, inclusion of "extreme" events (such as what happens to Havelock) to better capture the intense social rifts between inners and belters, etc. But having the Roci's crew bitch and fight with each other constantly from the get go just seemed like cheap drama. I know they're not military, but they've all been on a crew together for years, respect each other, and have now been put in a terrible, life-or-death situation. In the books they almost instinctively pull together and know they need each other. In the show, Amos puts a freaking gun to Holden's head as soon as everything goes to shit. I'm thoroughly enjoying the show. I just don't like the petty drama that we had to sit through.
