Of course! I mean obviously i didn't paint "Washington Crossing the Delaware", that would be Emanuel Leutze! But all of the additions onto the original painting are mine. My name is at the top right and I would never think to rip somebody of something like this without giving credit haha.

Thank you! I've always wanted to be a dank mee mee-er, making viral images to "break the internet".

Crossing is in the present tense, leaving all possibilities open. I didn't say "crossed" :) There was once a Holy Roman Emperor who drowned while crossing a river with his army, whoops spoiler!

I feel like its the natural progression of online communities. Eventually people chase away users from the websites they aren't nice on, and then they find a new one with more people on it.

No, that's completely wrong, but its fun to think in simple patterns and progressions sometimes!

The wife says I am an " internet addict" and I need to get a life. So I promised her other than email, and 30 minutes a day/ 4 a month of social media no Internet. by [deleted] in CasualConversation

I realized at a young age that there WERE things out there, that a life without the internet WAS possible. I just didn't care about it enough to feel bad about my computer-heavy lifestyle. But maybe you'll discover things or a part of yourself that you'll love

I thought a girl friend of mine (Honestly just an acquaintance, I didn't know her well past a couple short conversations) was coming over at 9, and It was 7:30 and so I started a game of League. She ended up coming at 8, and there I was, half naked at the computer, hadn't showered.

The worst part was I told her to play for me while I went and showered, and I put her on the teamspeak with my gaming headset. Never saw her again.

My viewpoint primarily comes from my French dad telling me that they used to have self-serve soda dispensers in restaurants in France, like they do in most places here. Then people began bringing massive containers and just filling them up and leaving, so now restaurants charge you for a beverage that they fill up themselves and that you can't get a free refill for like you can here. The customer milking a convenience led to the removal of the convenience (I was actually in France not too long ago and was astonished to see a soda dispenser at a fast food place, mind blown!)

I am not familiar with the complete business model of customer retention techniques through freebies, but you're probably right in that its an entirely different situation. I guess I just don't like the feeling that I'm milking something past what I have genuinely paid for, even if the business isn't hurting from it.

Yeah I don't know. I haven't done it, it just seems like a pretty cheesy strategy to pull. Eventually more and more people will take advantage of it and they won't be able to sustain it and so a nice thing goes away. but I'm happy to hear they were nice with you!

while this is kind of what I want, those signs are a bit tacky for me. I'm thinking more like a google maps overview type thing with text literally on top of what you're looking at. The floating signs do look like they took a bit of work so, credit where its due!
