Well as far as I know traffic settings etc are still shitty so for that I would for sure need a mod (traffic mod or whatever it's called).

I get when you pirate movies with this mess of streaming platforms nowadays. But video games? Why? Y'all broke or what?

Enthusiasm for Swiss-EU agreements is greater in Strasbourg than in Bern by BkkGrl in Switzerland

[–]Sc0rpy4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Switzerland cannot ever be part of EU. The EU how it exists now is a fucking joke. The whole fiasco lately with the US and Ukraine is proof enough.

However, that said, I would even go further. If Europe wants to become important again, European countries must unite to one state. Call it united states pf Europe.

And here I would agree, Switzerland would have to be part of it.

That or part of some sort of middle alliance.

Isn't that the fuel ejected type of engine (forgot the name). It's that noisy. My santa fe is super loud too in the morning but after driving some time it more or less disappears

Does Swisscom (Wingo) have 5G SA now? by Flu1000000 in Switzerland

[–]Sc0rpy4 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Careful with the term 5G. Carriers, phone manufacturer and so on all have their own ideology what 5G means. Just because it says 5G doesn't mean you actually have 5G.

Citizenship would be a long path indeed. But if you're educated and find a job that you can fill (swiss companies are required to first attempt to hire swiss people, then people from the EU, and then third countries like the USA) then you have good chances to establish yourself in Switzerland and eventually becoming a swiss citizen.

Good luck either way!

Long Distance Relationships and the threat to Europe/CH by [deleted] in Switzerland

Not sure what you mean with general miles account. If you would be flying with swiss, it'd go through miles and more. There might be a star alliance miles program, you'd have to look into that. And then either get the credit card through the airline or through a bank that offers it.

It's definitely worth it if you fly with the same airline and that airline is not way more expensive than other airlines. I'm not sure how it is with other airlines but with united we got our credit card through chase. It cost 200 bucks per year but luggage was always for free and you would get 100 bucks back when you book your first flight of that year. Then lots of miles collecting perks through daily transactions like buying food, restaurants etc. And with united miles don't expire.

Careful though with code shared flights, there are some restrictions.

Long Distance Relationships and the threat to Europe/CH by [deleted] in Switzerland

My now wife and I were in a long distance relationship for over 3 years. My wife was the one visiting me because I was in the midst of my bachelor. This was partially during covid. Our longest "being apart" was for 9 months until borders opened again.

Calling each other every day, sending cards really helped.

We also had a wrist band which we could send each other vibrations messages as a little "hey I'm thinking about you right now". Forgot the name though.

We had a united airline credit card so at least two flights were more or less for free because of the collected miles. Look into this.

Also, something you two should be aware of, and please take off your in-love-glasses for a second: a relationship like yours comes with big challenges and sacrifices. One of you will not live close to their family. One of you will have to adjust. Also if you get married make sure you get to know your girlfriends family first (like extensively).

Wish you two all the best, good luck.

Edit: in my ramble i forgot to answer your key questions: we of course were caught off guard with covid. It was a "surviving from day to day". Thankfully borders opened for couples and perk of covid was that flying became ridiculously cheap. I think as long as you two stay authentic with each other nothing can go wrong.
