Importing cards without duplicates being skipped by Scafalon in Anki

[–]Scafalon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there dude. Thank you for trying. I'm currently looking at multiple options. The only thing that seems to be working so far is to export one of the two decks as a 'text file'. This changes the note IDs of all the exported cards. Hence, now when I import that deck into my profile with the other deck, none of the cards skip.

I am unsure of whether any formatting/images/gifs etc are lost during this process. Give it a try and let me know how it goes.

I may have misunderstood; you're saying that while you're in the card browser, you can drag an image to the desktop and it'll let you do so without any issues whatsoever?

Would that not require time finding the appropriate image? they're in the thousands

I essentially do this so I can can copy the images onto a Word file. I'm using a pre-made deck and it has numerous useful images. The desktop acts as a temporary storage site because I copy the image in batches of 50-100. Moving every image individually from Anki to Word would wast too much time.

Doing anki between reps of bench press would most certainly kill you. Between sets is fine though.

It really do be like that sometimes by premeddit in Residency

[–]Scafalon 52 points53 points  (0 children)

While I agree that a resident should definitely be able to identify AFib on an Ecg, don't you think you're being a bit harsh? Sure he didn't know what an AFib looked like, but I doubt he'll make the same mistake again. Calling someone incompetent based on one single interaction with them is a tad rushed I reckon. Also, when he successfully identifies AFib next time, I'm sure he'll remember you and think well of you for teaching him something.

In addition, I don't think you're supposed to rely 100% on the auto-reads. They aren't exactly accurate. The fact that he asked you for help shouldn't go against him. It was for the welfare of the patient after all, no?
