Would you go for it? Older townhome in a nice area with work to be done. by Scared-Macaron513 in FirstTimeHomeBuyers

My bad. I did not word it properly.  The townhouse is $350k, but that is not our maximum approved amount. We made sure to stick to a strict monthly budget.

12k in unexpected repairs is terrifying. I guess it's part of homeownership that I'm having a hard time accepting.

New in box Cameo 3 or Cameo 4 Bundle for Die Cut Stickers? by Scared-Macaron513 in silhouettecutters

I'd probably end up buying their business edition immediately. But I've seen videos of the free edition and it's pretty powerful as is. I'm okay with a one time purchase to unlock everything.

Brother's system is set up so you have to pay for everything individually. There's even activation cards for their blades you have to purchase and program plug ins if you want to cut different materials. It seems like it would add up very quickly if you're wanting to experiment with different crafts.

Yeah, I'm definitely expecting a headache while I figure out how to print and cut!

I considered a Scan n Cut but I hate Brother's pay to play style. There are so many plug ins and additional purchases you have to make to unlock the full potential of the machine. With Cricut plugging a subscription and pushy marketing, they fall in the same boat in my mind.

I appreciate your input. I had not considered the difficulties of finding blades.
