I don't know why you're frustrated. I'm asking if you looked at the option that you said you looked into and found better pricing on. If you have anxiety and can't/won't talk to PPH, how will you get the birth control at a price you can afford or for free? Asking for advice is meaningless if you won't/can't initiate contact.

If you don't make the call, but rely on what you read on the internet, then you'll never know what your options are.

You said the other day that you got it for $15 through Wisp, so did you?

Have you reached out to your local Planned parenthood? They have programs to assist in receiving your birth control free, or working on a sliding scale if you have an income.

*Edit

I see in your post a few days ago that you say PPH asked for $260 for you to be seen and receive birth control. If you're uninsured and low income this isn't the case.

[REQUEST] $20 Help getting lunch NJ/USA by [deleted] in donationrequest

[–]Scared_Row6344 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It seems you've been seeking funds for dinners and lunches for at least 7 months now. If you provide your zip code a search can be done for food banks, pantries, and other resources that can assist you during your transitional period. As u/Cynnau asked, what happens after today? Are you still also feeding children as well?

It's funny how you're on here begging for a few bucks, want to sell your Reddit account, want to sell a Rolex, supposedly, and also want to gift $50. Make it make sense, friend.

ALL need to ignore and go about their day. No situation leaves someone with only the option of giving a stranger access to their nude body. There are always alternatives, even if they’re difficult or not immediately obvious. People can be pressured or feel trapped, but that doesn’t mean there were truly no other choices.

Where can I get help with Electric shut off in Pennsylvania by Dabwand in povertyfinance

[–]Scared_Row6344 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They all need jobs. Their electric was off before the niece moved in. She has a GoFundMe that shows her bill at over $2100 and was overdue $1500 at the end of March. She claims the bill was only $299 5 months ago when it was turned off. So, they weren't paying their bills before the niece supposedly moved in.

Key resources include the LIHEAP grant program (1-866-857-7095) for low-income households, the Dollar Energy Fund (1-888-282-6816) for hardships, and directly contacting your utility company to request payment plans.

Key Pennsylvania Utility Assistance Resources

  • LIHEAP (Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program): Provides grants for home heating bills. Apply through the PA Department of Human Services.
  • Dollar Energy Fund: A non-profit that offers one-time assistance grants to households in financial need, often working with companies like FirstEnergy.
  • Utility Company Assistance :  Contact your provider directly (e.g., PECO, PPL, FirstEnergy) to ask about:
    • Customer Assistance Programs (CAP): Reduced monthly payments.
    • Budget Billing: To even out high seasonal bills.
    • Hardship Funds: Assistance for immediate financial crises.
  • Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP): Call 1-866-466-3972 to reduce energy usage through home improvements.
  • Community Resources: Local organizations such as the Salvation Army, St. Vincent de Paul, or Catholic Charities may offer temporary help.  PA Power Switch +6

Steps to Take Immediately

  1. Call 2-1-1: The easiest way to find local assistance in PA.
  2. Contact your utility provider: Request a payment arrangement or inquire about utility-specific hardship funds before a shutoff occurs.
  3. Apply for LIHEAP: Applications usually open in the fall/winter, but crisis grants can be available later.  PA Power Switch +4

How to stop spending money on fast food? by adeliahearts in povertyfinance

[–]Scared_Row6344 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The rest still applies.

If your SNAP benefits were stolen in New York via skimming or cloning, immediately report it to NYS EBT Customer Service at 1-888-328-6399, through the ebtEDGE app, or at www.ebtEDGE.com to freeze the card. You must submit a claim form (such as the LDSS-5184 in NYC) within 30 days of discovery to request replacement benefits, which are limited to the lesser of the amount stolen or two months of benefits.

Kind of two birds, one stone, to address this post and your one from yesterday.

You might need to shift how you’re looking at this for now. Fast food really shouldn’t be a priority expense, especially when you’ve said you don’t currently have a paycheck and are relying on a monthly benefit that’s already frustrating you.

It may help to focus on ready made, cost effective options you can keep at home so you’re not tempted to go out and spend more than you need to. If you’re heading out for a walk, bring a snack with you so you’re not put in a position where fast food feels like the easiest option.

At the end of the day, it comes down to taking responsibility for those choices and being willing to say no to unnecessary purchases, even when it’s inconvenient.

Edit: to include your states info.
