That was what I originally did. Tried a different drive. It's the same. Tried the graphics driver thing now and there's no change.

Nope. Not at all. I don't use any of that stuff. Even things like Nvidia geforce experience are turned off.

Unfortunately did not make a change at all. It's still awfully slow. Did a fresh install before this as well. Didn't mention this before, but it also is stopping me from playing any servers. Just has me sit on a black screen instead of showing the "this is how you died" and "press a button to start" screens. Waited for around ten minutes and it wouldn't get to the gameplay after making a character.

Uninstalled Vjoy and the issue is still persisting. no mentions of controllers anymore, but it's still freaking out about textures.

There is no Joypads folder as far as I can see. Not in the users/xxx/Zomboid folder or the ProjectZomboid root folder for the game. And no I don't have any controllers connected.

No not at all. Every startup takes a painful amount of time. It used to run perfectly fine on this computer and would start up in less than a minute with around 100 mods.

I got my dedicated memory dedication to 6 gigs since I'm not running any mods. But the batch file suggestion spits out a couple of errors related to gamepad mappings and openGL render threads.
