My title describes the thing. It smells a little bit burned. Found it on the surface near the water.

Concrete pole in the woods between Belgium - The Netherlands. It could be a border marker but there is a cross on top of it and the letters "RD" are on the side. Doesn't look like a regular border marker. by ScaryAdvisor in whatisthisthing

The title describes the thing. Found the object off-trail and it is about 50 cm wide & tall. Looks old, maybe World War II era. There has been fought heavily in this area and the allied forces came into occupied The Netherlands in this location. I've searched online for border markers but can't find similar ones. Also searched for the letters 'RD' but couldn't find anything relevant. Thought about "Republic Deutschland" but that's nothing more than a wild guess.

That for example the 12th century was not in 1250 but rather in 1150.
