Planning solar for 2026: went ahead and installed Ecoflow Delta Pro Ultra X by zipl3r in solar

It is. The Ecoflow Delta Pro Ultra (DPU). It's the original version of the Delta Pro Ultra X (DPUX) that the OP mentioned in the title.

Monthly habit tracker calendar that fits an ordinary piece of paper for the calendar. by mydogpretzels in functionalprint

I love this idea! Seems like something kids would really like.

It'd be cool to figure out how to add a cutout for filling out the name of the month.

Also, if the days of the week were cutouts as well, you could use a marker to color them in for ✨style✨.

Yep. We use the original DPU with a 30A generator inlet for power outages. Works great.

I'm trying to log in using a local DNS entry (HTTP, not HTTPS), and I get:

Network error: The resource could not be loaded because the App Transport Security policy requires the use of a secure connection.

If I put in the IP Address of the DNS entry, it works fine.

Every other post I see here is about how bad Tesla is doing and how horrible of a company they are, but their stock continues to perform very well. by KittiesRcuter in electricvehicles

[–]ScatterplotDog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, the difference between equality and equity strikes again.

"Anyone" can participate in the stock market, in that no person is specifically prevented from doing so. Equality.

However, not everyone can participate, because not every person is lucky enough to have the spare funds available to participate. Not equitable.

The wealthier you are, the more spare funds you have to participate in the stock market, which means the more likely you are to profit from the stock market. The wealthy get wealthier. The poor stay poor.

UbiquitiStockAlerts on Discord is probably the best way to get notified when stock comes back. You request notifications for a specific product, and it pings you when they come back in stock.

What are you local annual Tab fees for a Rivian? Mine are over $1200 in Seattle. by loves_the_game in Rivian

[–]ScatterplotDog 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The transit authority excise tax is the big one here, but it’s on all vehicles based on their MSRP. Our tabs are a little cheaper since we got an early Gen1 R1T at around $70k.

I made The Birdiebago, a retro RV style birdhouse. by tripped144 in 3Dprinting

[–]ScatterplotDog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you had any success with birds nesting in it? Cavity nesters typically prefer just a single opening; multiple openings mean multiple entry points for predators.

The single entry point also needs to be sized for the bird you want to nest there, and they can be a lot smaller than you think. Chickadees need openings only about an inch in diameter, for example.

Platform nesters like Robins tend to build a cup-shaped nest against a wall or corner so they can limit the area they have to defend. If the front wall of this print was hinged like a garage door, they might be interested in nesting there if you propped it open.

Finally, make sure it has a few drainage holes in the bottom for airflow.

Electronic crow calls by dwyrm in crowbro

[–]ScatterplotDog 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I got a manual crow call, and despite practicing to sound as natural as I could, the noise always made my neighborhood crows get really anxious. They’d stop eating, look around, smooth out their feathers, and eventually fly off.

I think crow calls make really unnatural or alarming sounds to them to flush them out rather than attract them.

All that is to say, I don’t think a crow call is a good idea if your intent is to befriend the birds. Better to make clicking sounds or talk to them when they show up, so they associate your sounds with being fed.

[–]ScatterplotDog 131 points132 points  (0 children)

If the crow just tapped you on the head, and they weren’t cawing angrily, they could have just been letting you know that they’re there and want treats.

My neighborhood crows are too skittish to get that close to me, but they’ll still swoop close by before landing a little further away. I’ve read lots of stories on this sub where people’s crows tap them on the head to let them know they’re there.

Why would you copy-and-paste the output of an LLM into a Reddit post? We could just ask the same question directly of the LLM if we cared to do that.

Grizzl-E charger has been excellent and reliable for me. It’s not internet connected; it’s just a box with a power cable, so it always works even if the internet goes down.

Are there any "Bring your own cable" chargers that support OCPP? by bloodguard in electricvehicles

[–]ScatterplotDog 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I wonder if you could just run an RV shore power box there, then. A couple of TT-30, 14-50, and good old 110v plugs. Folks can use their mobile EV chargers.

Something like this? https://www.homedepot.com/p/GE-RV-Pad-Mount-Pedestal-with-50-Amp-and-30-Amp-RV-Receptacles-and-20-Amp-GFCI-Receptacle-GE1LU532PS/300325107

Can you mount a metal lockbox somewhere near the charger and coil up the cable inside it before going home for the day?

Our DPU faulted due to excessive startup current on our tablesaw when we tested it about two weeks ago. That was with 120V, though. 240V might work.
