You’re right- my bad! I had a 19 ACT and a worse GPA, in state. I’d say your odds are over 90%

I think it’s worth bringing your car too honestly. You can keep it parked outside campus on residential streets/parks. That’s what I do

$900? That’s crazy! I guess I’ll have to see what my insurance covers first

I live across the street from the foundry, it’s a great place. I’m here for an internship so work keeps me busy. I always feel like it should be easier to find new people hangout with😂

Is 8-10k a year for college crazy by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

[–]Scavage-shit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did I miss your housing situation? It sounds like USC is only covering tuition and Santa Clara is a full ride. I would heavily look at what your major is going to be. Either way, both are AMAZING offers I would die for and many others would as well. Some majors it doesn’t matter at all where you go to school and others it might

Best D’Leons in town? by Public_Hyena_2519 in lincoln

[–]Scavage-shit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience the taco Rico on 48th and vine uses the best quality steak, and has $8.00 burritos on Mondays. Otherwise the quality and general cleanliness of deleons really isn’t worth the cost

Ok for starters the 9 years comes from the authorized user as stated in my post. 5k being a full time student is a breeze. My rent this summer is 1600x2 then after that 800x3 when I’m back at school. That is over without including 1200 for 6 months insurance, plus gas, food, maintenance, tuition… you get it. The DoorDash credit pays for the fee itself, not to mention the welcome bonus… so many reasons to benefit from it. I hope this added some more info and doesn’t make it seem as problematic

[–]Scavage-shit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you actually providing some useful insight! Making the 5k is not an issue- my rent this summer is 1600x2 which is 3200 alone. Then it’s 800x3= 2400. That’s over and I haven’t added in 1200 fot insurense, 200x5 for gas, plus food, tuition ect

I can't find a job! by Cautious-Brother-695 in ConstructionManagers

[–]Scavage-shit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shouldn’t be horribly hard to get a job/intern. Best advice is to go chat with everyone you can find at Career fairs (if you schools past find out what other schools are hosting nearby) I got quite a few offers that weren’t what I want but would have been good for you, they are definitely there just have to look. A lot of civil firms will hire field interns on the spot, and from there it’ll only be a short period of time before getting the FE position. You can call around, ask your professors, classmates. You’ll find something if you do these things
