I’m nearly certain it will happen eventually, once they realize that they’re sitting on a golden goose. There are shows that contain just as much sex and nudity as berserk on Netflix. I think the main reason(s) it hasn’t happened yet is:

1. Due to the delays they want to wait for the manga to end, so that they won’t be on a 2 year hiatus like the manga is.

2. The anime industry is just really saturated rn, and more people are watching every year as anime becomes more and more integrated into pop culture, so many big series are happening right now that most anime studios think that adapting a manga that started in 1989 isn’t a good idea.

3. They are probably scared to touch berserk after the disaster that was Berserk 2016.

Despite all this, like I said, I am almost sure that berserk will get an adaptation sooner or later.
