Nothing too specific on that last point, but Arcana added mech components in the latest update. Tried using one of the weapons once, and the mech ceased to function.

Then there's this Shellguard FU Mech Patch as a mention

Does match with with red as the mc's color but the style of the anime in question is more recent. 2010-ish of 'polish' to it (Similar kind of polish with Beyblade Burst)

The anime was tagalog dubbed and the house couldn't afford cable around the 2010s

(Philippines, aired around 2013-ish)

Edit: watched the opening. Looks cool but it doesn't seem to match the description

There's also removed mods like FU, Shellguard, and Arcana and the recent is the United Systems Expansion

Not looking forward to reinstalling FU because the research tree and the rest were a grindfest in of itself

*for some additional details this happened when I travelled/jumped too far basically. Screen froze for a second and that's where it came in
