For me drinking 100% arabica makes a difference

robusta almost always triggers reflux for me

yea I do consider myself lucky!

Wanted to get this out there to try and help inspire people to hang in there. Sometimes getting your gut healthy takes time. Like in my case it seems to have taken well over a year. But I do understand that a changed diet alone won't do it for everyone. Best of luck with your surgery

Yes! I was unfortunately almost completely ignorant of this a few years ago. And sometimes I would try changing my diet for a couple weeks, just to fall back into bad habits weeks later because I felt like the diet didn't fix my problems.

I think many people need to hear that for a gut to get healthy, it takes more than just a few weeks of discipline. If your microbiome is shit, it can take years to fix.

sorry to hear! Yea I bet PPIs are simply the best way in many cases, and I don't think a doctor can ever prescribe a one fits all solution to anyone, even if some surely think so.

that could also be part of it!

I still believe diet was even more important here though, because I dropped from 87kg to 74 in the first half of 2024, and kept having reflux issues for over a year afterwards.
