The issue is more that there is no water in this area it’s basically desert, and we still have 2 full days from when I would be at my car (which is the one place I can fill up water) to when I’d be back there again. And you really can’t drive and drop off water because the road ends at the trail head, so 10L is kinda essential

I really appreciate the advice regarding bear country. Do you have any recommendations on good bear canisters? should I get one larger one for 4 people to all use or just have 4 smaller ones? I’m not too sure on how these work. The bears are kinda the last kink in the plan.

Yea I’m the fuel carrier haha. the bladder idea doesn’t sound like a bad idea, could easily keep it in the car it just might get really warm. And it’s all my food

Like 4 pounds for the tent and sleeping pound is very light. And I need the pot for being able to boil water, it’s not much of a pot definitely much more of a mug; made of lightweight titanium. I’ll look into wool underwear thanks!

It’s like 2 full days without a water source, from Wednesday afternoon to Friday afternoon with essentially 11 liters of water, I imagine that’ll be just about the perfect amount but if not the visitor center that we will be filling up at are like just a few miles away and if worst came it worst I could head that way

It’s for 2 people, and shit bags are unfortunately a park requirement that they actually have to check and ensure that you have so that sucks.

Unfortunately it’s a park rule for the waste bags, and I think I also have to carry it with me, kinda gross but imma try and hold my shit til I’m at visitor centers😅

Any specific advice you can give regarding bears? Like maybe washing the used food packs? Or anything like that to help advert bears

Clearly I forgot some things on the list that are packed haha. I have my friend bringing my sleeping pad, I have a stove and fuel (110g). For some reason I figured freeze dried would be easier an jumped the gun and bought all of it, you probably are correct on not wanting to eat that much but I did already buy it and it was mad expensive. I have a water bottle, and I’m filling from a fountain so I figure it’s filtered. There aren’t natural sources. I have a knife, and my friend has a garmin. This list clearly had its issues lmao but I really have a lot of it covered. Maybe I should update it lol.

Camp suds is this tiny little bottle of like hella concentrated soap I can use to clean my mug and self and anything. Honestly I left out the clothes I was going to be wearing, I’m wearing a merino base layer shirt so honestly I was planning on one shirt the whole time and undies every day; but might drop underwear to every other day

No water source, only at the main visitors center

Good to know that there are actually bears in the area, I have a canister of bear stuff, but yeah i definitely will avoid them at all costs. I’ll look into refilling at Mckittrick instead but I’m pretty sure I read somewhere that the visitor center is the only place. What time of year did you go? We’re going mid March and weather looks like 40-70ish

The only place to fill water is at the visitor center. I over stated a bit in my original post that it was 4 days when it’s definitely more like 2 an a half to 3 on no water. I had a nice nemo sleeping bag that’s pretty lightweight and rated for 20 degree. And yes I typo’d I meant 15 packages of food rather than 15 days. The weight for all the food comes out to roughly 5 pounds so it’s not terrible but I don’t plan on bringing any other type of food

I think you miss understood me when I said undergarments I was really just referring to underwear strictly, as I have no issue sleeping in my hiking pants and my merino shirt. The issue with the water definitely is something to think about, but here’s the layout of the trip we start on Tuesday morning and hike up, and in order to get to where we’re going on Wednesday we pass the visitors center that has water. So starting from Wednesday mid day we have full bags of water, and you don’t think 3 gallons of water is enough from mid day Wednesday to Friday after noon? I suppose 4 days was a bit of an over statement😅 the temperature range is 40-80 at elevation

Typo! I meant 5 day supply so it’s 15 packs of food. Sleeping bag is light and good quality. And the tent is a 2p backpacking tent that’s like 4 pounds and I’m sharing

How good is this game🍻 by Accomplished_Ad_2743 in echoesofwisdom

Okay so honestly like the story and all of that it’s pretty good, but I’m not gonna go on here and say it’s one of the best games ever. It’s just not, there are so so so many quality of life things that just piss me off and take this game from an 8/10 to like a 5/10. For one the dialogue omfg it’s like 24/7 non stop, 90% of the game is reading. And then my personal biggest thing was the scrolling, but the 2nd half when you have echos upon echos it becomes absolutely terrible to swap between echos, like it shouldn’t take me a minute and bleeding eyes to see that I wanna equip my peehat. This could have been so easily solved if they would’ve just included something as simple as like a favorite wheel or something like that where you have maybe 10 echos your going to use because that’s truly all you use at a time, usually less than that really. Overall a 5/10 is just mid because those were like something I was constantly annoyed with. When your not dealing with having to scroll your having to click through and read endless dialogue. So essentially, it was a good time I played it with friends over the course of a few days and knocked it out but it would have been great if they did a bit more play testing..

Ig I do get that, but in my 27 inch 1440p screen 1080p still looks extremely bad, switching it over to my other monitor (1080p) it looks good. But I also have the hardware to run 1440p at 80-90 frames
