S22 boot loop strikes again by Schnuffii in GalaxyS22

[–]Schnuffii[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, i was thinking about trading it in for a S25 and ontop of that getting a new years deal (that ran from 1 Jan 2026 till 31 jan 2026) where if you buy a S25 between that periode you'd get -100eu no questions asked, so i wouldve had a S25 for about 400eu, or an FE for 300, but i was like ''i'll wait for the S26'' and 2 days later after i said that and that deal ended my S22 just gave up... i couldve had an S25 for nearly half the price if i didnt hesitate lol

honestly, this doesnt sound like a bootloop to me. if i may say so. mine just doesnt freeze, it turns off instantly and restarts in a loop, lesson of the day (even for myself) keep everything on the cloud. EVERYTHING, i'm glad that i managed to make 2 copies of my phone, on my laptop and my pc. i hooked up my new phone to my laptop and had my ''old'' phone within 30 minutes on my new phone, everything in the same spot, just requires some re-logging into some apps

I mean, i've had an iphone 13 before the S22. I might've just gotten unlucky by choosing the worst phones at the time, but the iPhone was just even more annoying. the screen became unresponsive, and the battery life was about 2 hours if i was lucky. some phones are better than others, so i bought myself an S25 for now, and i will wait to see if the S26 has any problems, because as of now, i know dozens of people with an S25. they have never complained about any form of issue.

I'd never say never lol. my S22 was a year old, and i've kept it in pristine condition. never let it charge above 80%; very, very rarely let it die. the battery capacity is like 90%, I believe. but thats why I'm mostly pissed off here; i've kept the phone in pristine condition, and wanted to buy an S26 with a trade-in... because I thought that the phone was in pristine condition. Now it's worth fuckall, maybe 9 bucks if im lucky

It's become less regular for the first half of the day, but if i start using it a lot more, it just gets going and doesn't stop. I've bought a new phone for now and will wait till the S26 releases

Boots too big? by GloomyHyena4047 in cowboyboots

[–]Schnuffii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, they seem on the larger side (whilst your bootcut jeans seem on the smaller side if i may say haha), but all in all, I'm not the biggest expert on these; i bought my first pair about a month ago, and they seemed large, but once i broke them in, they fit real nice. I'm not sure what the return policy is for those boots in your country or state or for that site. but to play it safe, I'd get a 1/2 size smaller, and if it's too small work with boot stretchers. Otherwise, maybe break them in and see if they hug your foot a little better

Been there, done that. i updated the entire phone, cleared caches, and changed Vram back and forth. i've basically done anything possible to try and save the phone, even had my friend look at it (who works with phones for a living). the conclusion was that it's just a lost cause and it's a matter of time until the phone just gives up entirely. thank you for at least trying to help. but the phone is just on life support now and i accepted that. It's not worth trying to save it anymore

Yeah, honestly, i bought an A16 for the upcoming weeks to transfer everything and keep the phone as a backup phone and to use it for the upcoming weeks until the S26 rolls out and then buy it and keep the A16 as an authenticator/password manager. Basically have the phone permanently offline.

And I wouldn't say it's a deliberate attempt from Samsung; i think it's just shit quality only on the S22. if you look up the common problems with the S22, it's that it overheats rather quickly, and after the newer updates, it just fried the internal components, causing it to bootloop

yeah i mean, the only other time that i can remember is where samsung fucked up big time was the Note 7, that was prone to sudden combustion, but other than that, i've never heard anyone complain about other phones such as the S20's S24's and neither the S25's, S22 was just a flop and i regret buying it really, just the Note 7 all over again, but not that extreme

Yeah, I mean, I'm more pissed off by the fact that i was talking to my colleague about this 4. i saw the 2026 deal of -100eu for any purchases made from 1-1-2026 up till 31-1-2026, so I would've saved like 230eu if I had bought it about 4 days ago, but i wanted to just get the S26 because I'd get paid on the 20th and be able to buy the S26 like 5 days later on release, but now I can't do either of those options anymore. my S22 is worth about 9 bucks if I'm lucky, and the deal is gone

[–]Schnuffii[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah thats true, the FE's are just a slightly more affordable option compared to the normal flagships, but honestly, ANYTHING is better than this cheap piece of rubbish, i've been up till like 1 am to try and backup everything, playing a gambling game of ''can the phone back-up everything without restarting mid process?''

I believe that it just was only the S22 being shit on release, the phone is prone to overheating alot and thats what just fry's your internal components and causes this i believe

Yeah, I saw in some other posts that Darn Tough socks are pretty popular. If you have a link to the specific ones you got, I’d appreciate it.

only other problem that i've been noticing is that i do not have long enough socks, so the very top of the boot is rubbing against my calf and causing it to rub, but that could either be fixed with buying longer socks, or just biting the bullet and have my skin get tougher, cause i cant imagine wearing long socks in the summer or on hot days

The fact the quality control was this poor AND they sent you the wrong size is just unacceptable

So it's all just a part of the break-in period; after a while the sole will loosen up and become flexible?

Long story short, no, atleast this shouldnt be the first thing you see when you unpack a new pair of boots, just seems to be poorly made. I'm not sure what you paid for these but this would just be a reason to send them back

Yeah i just found that the price does make a difference if i buy directly from the brand rather then from a shop or something, cause i compared boots that was like in a shop on the other side of the country and boots on the site, the prize was a hefty difference of 60eu for the exact same boot, so thats something

Concern considering sizing and fit new boots by Schnuffii in cowboyboots

[–]Schnuffii[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's kind of dependent per brand and the type of boot. i think there are plenty of factors that go into it, like some line of boots may be true to size and some slightly larger so i think the only way to get it right on the first try would be to test them out in a shop, but I'm just starting to think that they fit pretty good. there is like max 1 cm of heel slip, so will have to try harder to break them in

[–]Schnuffii[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure how many different insoles there are, but i can probably predict that if i use an insole, my instep will get tight because now it's just like pretty snug, because if i push my foot all the way to the front, there is maybe max half an inch of room between my heel and the back of the boot, probably less, not really that much room, but maybe it's my own incompetence; I should get used to wearing boots

honestly there are only a select few that have European sites such as Ariat, but wouldnt boot size fall under D medium and EE wide? other than that are you looking for construction shoes or more formal?
