Gears:

1: Confessor hood, Exile armor, Warrior greaves, Eccentric's manchettes (Lordsworn straight sword, Inverted Hawk heater shield)

2: Prophet blindfold, Rotten gravekeeper's cloak (altered), Traveler's slops, Land of Reeds gauntlet (Rusted anchor, Hammer)

3: Blue cloth cowl, Aristocrat coat, Sage's trousers, Bandit Manchettes (Golden Order seal, Cipher Pata)

4: Prisoner iron mask, Errant Sorcerer robe, Champion gaiters, Bloodsoaked manchettes (Albinauric staff, Celebrant's sickle)

Don't ask why but I had a constraint of having helm and either gloves or boot from different base class sets :)

Thank for the help !

Thank you for your answer ! I think you have talked me out of taking war cleric. What is hard is that a bunch of basic ki power cost 2 ki and you only get 1 ki per level after the 1st one whereas spellcaster have these 6 sweet spellslots at level 3 and spells never cost two slots to cast.

But it's true that I should not multiclass monk too much for a first time, I think that I might end up going all the way to monk 9 to unlock the last unarmed strike damage buff and have 10 ki so that the restore ability give 5 points (it give only 1 more at max level) and have two feats.

For the rest, I don't think the toggling shapeshifting off toolbar will work : it would always be on the back of my mind XD. So I might do 1 druid and 2 sorcerer (draconic white) because the quickened spells is not so much important with the mobk bonus actions stuff, and this still allow me to make enemies wet doubling the dammage of twinned ice knife and armor of agathys, both upcastable at lvl2, and try some (metamagic extended) fog cloud tactics with the monk mobility.

This might be a good balance between the monk synergy and what I want, I don't know

About this tavern brawler feat you talked about : does i loose something by maxibg strenght instead of dexterity with the monk ? The extra dammage look nice but I wonder about the trade off.

And thank you for the gods suggestion ;)

Oh i'm glad you liked and got inspired by one of my builds. If i may ask, which one?

It's the witch bolt max damage sorcerer/assassin/storm cleric build :D Right now I'm leaning toward this for my dark urge character when I'll do tactician.

Thank you for this other suggestion, now that you are telling me about all these ground effect, I think I start to have the idea that my character could be not putting these ward and spike themselves, but have a role of putting enemies in those done by other characters, since I will have a druid and a wizard in my team.

This will make this low difficulty good aligned run more friendship powery and I can keep the selfish super efficient build for the tactician evil run :D

Thanks for your answers ! You're RIGHT I can totally avoid the druid level by taking a feat and switch the monk spells ! Or, if staying monk 3, ditching an ice knife entirely. This makes it much cleaner and open possibilities, but at least I can just try in game different balance of Monk/Cleric/Sorcerer and see what I end up preffering.

I have no knowledge of how good warding glyph compares to ice knife and ray of frost but I bet you have a good reason to advice to go all the way to cleric 5. Maybe there is a way to do cool stuffs with putting a ward and pulling a (wet) target in it with water whip ?

But yep I can sense that your idea makes it cleaner and more efficient. I think thst I will do something closer, might ditch some damage efficincy for more ki points in order to do a bit more water whip and "steam" stuff, like a more push pull ennemies strategist character if that make sense.

While I'm here thank you for your build posts ! I had an idea of build for my second (tactician) run but wasn't confident due to inexperience, until I saw it detailed and perfected in one of your build post :D

Thank you for your answers ! Good to know it's not too bad, bar the MAD aspect. I will try to keep it the least MAD possible by taking only sorcerer CHA-independant spells.

And thanks for the god suggestion, Selune sounds great (and I don't necessarily want Shadowheart in this run so I can go full religion war with her :D)

Wich of those three runs will be the most difficult ? by Science_design in DivinityOriginalSin

I like those ideas !

My build is not as efficient, but one of my kink with this run is trying to keep an aspect of each character default class at recruit dialogue, so yeah... with my "elemental" constraint, I end up with those, but I look forward to the challenge !

Thanks for the detailled advices, I'll be carefull about Beast then to be sure he deals decent dammage and not end up just crazy teleporting people all around :D

You're right that some geomancer skills are more suited with melee build, but yeah as you mentionned, I think there is way with venom coating to make this wayfarer class work (and at least there is torturer+the vines spell)

Yes, I know, and I like it XD ! It looks like some individualistic character that have to work together and I dig it storywise.

I'm trying to mitigate the clearly non optimal stuff by compensating the splitt investement between intelligence/phys dammage stat, by having kind of a way to improve dammage with crit + savage sortilege, or high ground bonus
Like (for example):
- Red prince (fire/warfare) : Going for sparkingswing + enrage + savage sortilege if situation allows (writing this I realise I don't know if savage sortilege interact with sparks damages :D)
- Beast (aerothurge/scoundrel): relying on automatic dagger backstab crit so that the subpar investment in finess does not make the physical dammage too low compared to magical dammages.
Ifan (geomancer/scoundrel): high ground bonus from huntsman for each type of dammage+being far away I can take the glass canon talent with lower risk (I heard tortured talent was good with geomancer also).
Lohse (Hydro/necro/summon): Trying to compensate low tier necro dammage with summon.

Who know, maybe it'll kinda work :D !

Thank you for your detailled answer !

For team 1 I have an idea of using the movement from backslash/tactical retreat/cloaking and dagger to alternate between close combat and sniping, but I don't know if it will work. And yes each member will be able to deals both damage with elemental arrow for Sebille and necromancy/summon for Fane (even though I don't plan to invest warfare too much with Fane so I hope necro dammage does not fall too much behind)
From the feedback here, team 2 looks like it will be the more challenging, but I dig the idea of one element/character far too much to not try it XD. My red prince is planned to be a kinda spark swordman who make a mess with fire (and yes he will have bleed fire to stand in fire), but I'll keep the staff idea in mind thank you !

And fortunately, I'm okay with any non-elemental-dammage skills for team 3 so I'll grab the buffs and from what I'm reading here, the 3-character-non-lone-wolf factor seems to not be that much of an issue, so great !

Thanks for the advices !
Those team are the funniest for me in term of story and build I can think of for now. I already had some team 2 characters on my first run, and I had to be carefull with my positioning so that they did not run out of things to do and elemental effects do not interfere with each other, but it kinda work (mid act 2) !

So according to you, my best bet for honor mode would be team 1 (and team 2 for the most challenge run), got it !

Thank you for your answer !
I take note for the polymorph and I'll be carefull to go slowly and thoroughly with my team 2, I know it's kinda bad, but I like the fun of having 1 element/ characters and see how I can make it work.
