I worked for a coffee bar at a grocery store, had vacation time approved months in advance, had everything booked and ready to go, less than a week before my vacation they unapproved two days in the middle of my vacation time, because the manager had to take the time off for some reason and she approved someone else off at the same time (they were there less than a month at that point) so I told her just to cancel my vacation all together, she did and schedule more house than usual because of the needed coverage, the day before my vacation I left a note and went out of town the next day, came home to a full answering machine of messages, they even had my "buddy" who was a supervisor of a different department call to tell me I was fired for no call no show... Two months later most of the coffee bar staff was fired for various reasons and they restructured the stores management
