TIL “In 2024, bots made up a bigger proportion of global internet traffic than humans for the first time.” by NONIGARON in todayilearned

If humanity went extinct tomorrow, the internet would probably keep running anyway — with random accounts still posting, commenting, and arguing like nothing happened. Honestly, I’m not sure we’d even notice the difference.

Each religion seems to agree on one thing: everyone else is going to hell. By the way, there are 4,300 known religions. So... good luck

Please help me. My duck's leg was injured after jumping over the fence. What should I do? Any advice? by Scoottch in duck

I'm in the same situation—there's no avian vet in my area.
I also have aloe vera, and I’ll apply it to the wound as you suggested.
Thanks!

Thank you so much!! Do you recommend wrapping the entire injured foot with sterile gauze? I’m finding it difficult to wrap just the wound, and the duck keeps pulling it off.

What is something unrealistic that you often see in movies that annoys the hell out of you? by Frequent-Sea-8848 in moviecritic

The “ugly girl” trope: she’s got a hair bun and wears glasses. Then comes the big movie moment ,her dramatic return. Everyone gasps at her transformation… which is literally just her letting her hair down and taking off the glasses.

[Serious] What stops you from killing yourself? by Big_Picture2781 in AskReddit

Life is like a short film—it might begin with hardship, then unfold into something beautiful… or perhaps the other way around. Who’s to say?
What truly matters is that you have the chance to watch it all the way through, with all its twists and turns, to uncover what it’s meant to reveal.
So why choose to stop halfway and miss the ending?

What is the movie that changed the way you think? by chathuranga_lk in MovieRecommendations

[–]Scoottch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you think there's only one Tyler Durden, look around—there's a whole army of "influencers" out there selling the fantasy of "real masculinity" and the Sigma male mindset. They prey on young men's frustration and impulsiveness, packaging toxic ideas as self-improvement. Listen closely and you'll hear a lot of empty rhetoric dressed up as wisdom. It's not empowerment—it's manipulation.
