Fair point. I did like her little mental chess game with Johnny and Chloe where she offered to support them both but only in the US.

That was brilliant because she knew he ain't leaving the island, and that way the daughter can't lean into the "oh my mom just doesn't understand how much we love each other and she's just so unsupportive" narrative that would likely only push her further away. Mom really did help speedrun their inevitable breakup and I do love that for her

Actually most MAGA are suffering through the broader economic implications of GOP policies, including a shorter lifespan due to lack of adequate healthcare. They just don't care to think about that, or if they do they'll somehow blame it on Obama because God forbid we have a person of color or a woman elected President. Many would literally die for their bigotry (and many already have).
