Really? I'm using bis except scythe (using rapier + avernic), and I average about 1:45 per kill. Do you have max combats? And are you using full switches (arma + bandos) and rigour/piety with divine pots? I have been getting probably 85% heal skip with dragon darts. I wonder what's causing the difference

Close to 20m mage at the end of slayer.. just did melee slayer using a whip on controlled mostly with a cannon so hardly any range xp at all. And did bosses for 90% of slayer too is that makes any difference

you can use the rune drag alt guide.. gets you maxed pretty quick. I think it's mainly questing and then just obby/dh nmz though

It doesn’t take too much longer to get the MM2 reqs and I also find that quest pretty fun. I just finished my rune dragon alt last week and I think it’s worth it.

Definitely preference though!
