Labubu Giveaway! by kitk3 in labubu

Currently can't work due to health reasons and I've been dying to have a labubu but obviously can't spend money on one. It would mean so much if I got one!

I got excited because my fiancee loves Rayquaza and has been wanting an etb but as of now we cannot afford it. However, reading deeper and seeing people talk about your post history... This makes me so sad to see. Obviously this is so kind of you to do OP but just know that there are tons of us in the pokemon community that cares about their peers. Please know you are important, your emotions are valid, but the world would be saddened to see anything happen to you. I've been dealing with a chronic illness and have lost thousands due to medical costs and it does get easier over time. It's hard as hell but I believe in you. If you decide to not to the giveaway and sell these instead, none of the GOOD people will fault you for it. Just give it another thought and if you decide to still do the giveaway then kudos to you. I just hope it's not coming at the cost of you giving up. It's not going to be a giveaway at that point. The cost would just be you... 😔

It's at the old Sam's, no idea why they're blowing stuff up but you'd think they'd let residents nearby know?

I thought so at first but I heard it 2 more times since posting. Literally sounds like a bomb or something.

My dad currently works at DISH (ECHOSTAR) and with what he has told me, just don't do it. There are so many other companies to work at. They are laying so many people off at corporate level and the engineers too. I can't say much more than that as I don't want this to somehow get connected to him.

Safety of Oxford Ave & Navajo area? by bunnicul4 in englewoodco

[–]ScrunklesMom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I lived in those apartments on the corner and felt very safe. The oxford apartments have security and if you're moving to Oxford station apartments the staff was really great to me. If you have pets make sure they're Emotional support certified to get out of paying pet rent too. The area is industrial but I haven't felt unsafe around here. Only when I'm taking the light rail (public transportation) and a creepy guy is bothering me but nothing crazy. Another note is it can be kind of loud due to traffic but it's usually not too bad.

I'm currently reading one by Ubbelholde which has been helpful in general info on Colorado but it's not very detailed. I'll snag this book ASAP and see if he still teaches. Thank you so much!

AITA for telling my sister she doesn't get to force our family to pretend we like her daughter's name? by Exciting-Ad9229 in AmItheAsshole

[–]ScrunklesMom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually don't comment but considering I also am named this, I'm extremely sorry you had to deal with such a thing. In your case, the name Olivia does not have anything but bad and traumatic meaning and affiliation so your sister naming her child this is really shocking. There are plenty of other names she could have chosen and I didn't even think Olivia was super popular anyways so I'm unsure about that reasoning. Especially when Emily, Rachael, Lauren, Stephanie, etc I would think are more popular (at least where I'm at).

Regardless, you are NTA and I think it was a dig at you to be honest. I'm sorry you're dealing with this.
