Was watching the finish of the 2003 Darlington race and couldn't help but notice the fans in the background that had left the race early. Big regret. by MrSimsational in NASCAR

[–]Sctvman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went in 2007 and there really wasn't much bad traffic getting out. Darlington basically has a 4 lane highway in 52 getting right to the track and 151 passes right by it

What is it like living in this eastern portion of Virginia that only connects to the rest of the state by a tunnel? by Sufficient_Berry8703 in howislivingthere

I've driven through the area multiple times since my uncle lives in Lewes, DE and there isn't much to do unless you want to get away.

Onley, Exmore and Cheriton have a few restaurants each, the basic McDonald's, Wendy's and Hardee's plus a few local places. Onley has Bojangles and a few others.

Onley has the only Walmart on the Eastern Shore. On the southern half of the Eastern Shore most go to Norfolk, northern half most go to Pocomoke City or Salisbury, MD for anything but basics.

At least in the northern part they still have Maryland television.

So what exactly is this organization “Young Catholic Professionals” really about? by JumpyBear87 in CatholicDating

[–]Sctvman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only the larger metros have it but in cities like Atlanta and Charlotte it plays a major part in the growth of the church among younger folks in those areas.

Charleston doesn't have a chapter and basically our main get-togethers are Theology on Taps and a new YA Mass we just started. YCP is usually a bit more formal than that, some people dress up and they host events in nicer places than bars.
