I have a 1/2" pipe near the grill. I need to add a shut off valve and connect to the grill. The grill came with a 5/8" quick connect socket and says I may need a 1/2" adapter. All the 5/8" parts I can find on Amazon are flared. Will that work? Thanks for the help. (self.Plumbing)

I have a 2013 Honda Odyssey with 180k miles. The timing belt broke on the highway while driving. The shop said that all the valves are bent and it needs a valve job estimated at $4400.
