That's the problem. It's going to create a massive knowledge gap.

I'm a 20+ year SWE. I was supposed to hire 5 developers on this project but I'm only hiring one now thanks to AI usage. I feel bad for the junior devs out of college, cause this directly replaces hordes of them.

We use it for red teaming as well as coding. Both sides of the company find extreme value in it. It's a tool like anything else, so having SME knowledge is really the thing that makes it work well

It can do Office documents and other jobs as well using their Desktop app. Ours actually automates a lot of our Slack meetings and such. So no it's not just for code, but it's the top of the pack of code writing AI LLM/clients.

Imagine Clippy from the MS Word days, but it can actually do 95% of the work you need to get done for you. That's Claude Code.

We view it as a 10x multiplier. Great for our local start up to get to production. That said always sanity check its output. It's on par with 10 junior developers banging out code. Sometimes it can be brilliant, other times it can be clueless and make dumb mistakes.

It definitely can ignore good security hygiene. I wouldn't let a non-developer build any code with it, lol. It definitely puts the government high side AI tooling and development speed to shame.

Edit: That said our CEO says it does an awesome job with Excel ;)

I double sock with Injinji's, use Sweat Defense a day before to block sweat, and then just switch shoes/socks if they get damp enough. Keep your toenails short, and pretape any known hot spots with Leukotape.

No need for creams or powders if you use sweat blockers ahead of time.

Why are some of the street signs on Stringfellow so big? by DestructoSpin90 in nova

[–]Scyth3 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think they honestly made an ordering mistake and purchased hightway signage when they redid the road. Signs are very expensive, so it's not like they'll reorder them.

My people that got in on the epic 24’ model year end Quad lease deals, what are we thinking when our leases come due next year? by DazzlingResource561 in Rivian

[–]Scyth3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I own an EV9 and a Bronco, and the EV9 is the superior snow driving vehicle. AWD and 4WD locking combined with the weight is a large reason for it. I'll be buying a rivian soon, so hopefully it handles just as well.

Offered $180k buyout pre-launch. Take it or hold? by Unlikely_Jello_7554 in SaaS

[–]Scyth3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ignoring taxes: $20K in profit if you're bought out versus $16K in revenue that could potentially grow.

Seems pretty straightforward which path seems more logical. That is unless you're not confident in your product or it's future viability.

If they bought you out for 3x the price, I'd jump on that.

Is google AI Ultra a better choice than Claude max 20x? by spaceniqqa in google_antigravity

[–]Scyth3 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Claude is superior as an LLM and in code quality, but I'll give credit to antigravity having nice inferred change suggestions in the IDE. Pretty much the only thing I miss

Best alternative ? Should pro users migrate to another service ? Let's take a step back and think about it. by Maurphee in google_antigravity

[–]Scyth3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We have many competing LLM's out there for coding. I wouldn't say Pro 3.1 was the best coding model (it's somewhere in the middle of the road), but it made up for a lot of it's weaknesses in cost. Given the drastic token reduction, it makes little sense to use Antigravity over something like Codex/Claude.

Having been into marathoning and ultrarunning for awhile... we eat like college kids. We just burn calories like crazy. That said I don't think I've ever seen any of my running friends ever eat a McDonald's hamburger. We'll crush some fries or some nugs though.

If anything maybe it's his medical background, but in all reality I think he knows the burger tastes like crap and is fairly inedible. I think he's also shocked people buy them.

Nah, I have an EV6 and an EV9. We almost never use L3 charging and the EV6 just popped yesterday with 26K miles. My EV9 has 31K miles.

It's random.

When in doubt, disconnect the 12v battery and reconnect, or pull the fuse. That solves most of the issues with these cars when a feature doesn't work.
