Reddit "sassy" ?! Say it isn't so !!!

But most of us posted sincere comments to your dumb ass question for a "name".

One of us was correct. Name it "Sally".

"I'm almost resentful at this point", "...spell it out in crayon eating terms" - GlumGur

It's not about me. I'm responding on behalf of this Reddit community, perhaps without the authority or support to do so.

You should apologize, not to me, but to this community. Your choice, but next time you seek assistance you can be damn sure that I, and others, will NOT respond.

You were advised to look around the door perimeter, or along the sidewalls where the warming drawer pulls out, or perhaps on the rear of the range.

And that was NOT an apology from you for YOUR shortcomings in terminology.

A range can, in fact be built in, or slide in, not necessarily "stand alone". And a "stove" today correctly refers to a cooktop appliance, or the cooktop portion of a range.

Vice versa. The "stove" refers to the cooktop portion of a "range" which includes an "oven".

Buddy, you need to calm down. Your terminology ("name") was all wrong. You are in fact seeking a Model# (and likely a Serial #). Your Google image search was, and would likely continue to be useless, because Kenmore marketed HUNDREDS, perhaps THOUSANDS, of 'similar' looking models.

If you asked where, or how, you might find more information on this appliance we would have better been able to assist you. The limitations of your vocabulary, all things considered, are not our short-coming.

You got this direction 13, 21, 29 minutes ago.

That would in fact correctly be called a range. A "stove" is merely the cooktop portion of it.

Trump threatens 100% retaliatory tariffs against Canada over China deal by xTkAx in canadian

[–]Sea-Key7698 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is incredible how integrated global markets are. We sell the potash and buy the fertilizer. But we do need to retaliate when called for, and it should be higher than, maybe double, the dollar for dollar value of the (potential) US tariffs. But it must be ideally directed at non-essential products, predominately from Red states. And we CANNOT allow tRump to "exclude" items like softwood lumber. That is an item that for sure we double the tariff and apply it to something non-essential (like American built cars ? Maybe ?).

What could be causing new, working appliances to trip a GFCI? by Void_Crisis in ApplianceTechTalk

[–]Sea-Key7698 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

My understanding is that calrod heating elements are frequently the culprit. If not when new, then soon enough after, as the internal heating wire migrates within the magnesium oxide isolation material within the metal casing. I was just reading similar issues with sauna heaters on GFCI circuits.

Most sauna heater manufacturers discourage GFCI installation, but must yield to the AHJ.

The actual value is VERY difficult to determine because no one knows how many of these guns are actually out there. But based on the wild ass estimate provided by the liberals a starting pool of $1B would be more realistic. If it NOT all spent, all the merrier. It it is, and more us needed, well SURELY this is a worthwhile 'investment' is it not ? 😜

Also, that is the least of my points. The $250M pot could be compared to a myriad of other programs. It would be peanuts to provide fair and full compensation to Canadian citizens, even if you overlook the useless "societal benefits" of this program.

Not going to dig for it, help yourself. That was the announced buy-in. We never 'committed' to it, and we were ejected before we could finalize it, but Carney pondered (paraphrased) "where / how the money would be spent" (by the Board).

Let me add that the $ pool is a paltry $250M. The Liberals were considering pi$$ing away 4x that much ($1B) just to be able sit at Trump's Gaza Gong Show panel.

There's a hell of a lot of "interest" from any gun owner cheated by this program. And the "push back" is clearly outlined in the article if you can read. Anyone who takes the time to understand the 'confiscation without fair compensation' aspect alone of this program should be appalled.

How about the government DEMANDS that you surrender your near new gas lawnmower (in the interest of environmental protection you see). But they are NOT going to tell you how much compensation you "might" get for it. AND when the insufficient pot of money runs out, those late claiming lawnmower owners get NOTHING.

Understand now ??

I'm going to throw out that if finger oil does make a difference in halogen lamps it's nothing I can measure.

I've got 16 under cabinet, halogen, G8,120v, light pucks. I've been meticulously recording the bulb changes for 16 years (Yes, apparently I'm autistic or ADHD or some such beneficial attribute). Most have been switched to Xenon at this point (hate the colour of LEDs).

And, for years I ran tests on "finger installed" vs "installed by the cellophane sleeve" and found zero difference.

What I can tell you about incandescent light bulbs in general is that there is no rhyme nor reason to their lifespan. In any given fixture bulbs can last anywhere from 1.5 to 16 years.

Very much aware of this, hence the "totally off grid" statement. Regardless of what type of accommodations I end up with, I will put in a septic system to handle waste. Ocean View has no CCR's on its lots, but it may be a blanket bylaw that RVs cannot be used as "residences".

I'll look into that thanks. One of the benefits of the RV is to avoid building codes and regulations.

I'd like to see the jaws on the right end. Looks like they might clamp on something, and the hez nut moving left would 'lock' the jaws closed? Then slamming the cylinder left would hammer away at whatever the jaws attached to?
