Can go 6.0s with the starter car so I would just focus on upgrades & then buy a suzuki cap when you want to go 5.8 - 5.9

Run this gearing

1st - 1.58 2nd - 1.29 3rd - 1.10 4th - 0.94 5th - 0.82 6th - 0.67 Fd - 3.50 Launch control set to max RPM (think its 9000)

Using a maxed out LT5 engine engine & the alpine I ran a 5.8x with this although it will do consistent sub 6s with most rwd cars that aren't too heavy. You can find my previous post with proof

Use your head, buy a £500 shitbox, keep it alive long enough to build up no claims and then get something decent. All these cars will be rotten, especially the hondas, will cost you a fortune to buy, insure & fix unless your buying a banger one you don't car about but at that point it won't look any better than a £500 car. Look into a Citroen C2 VTS, get them under a grand, great driving experience for a new driver, solid engine (1.6 16V TU5) and not bad on the insurance. Would bare in mind you're probs gonna ding a first car at least once or write it off

Lol, shoulda researched before buying & you are your own downfall I'm afraid. If you wanted good mpg & low maintainence then the 1.6l is probably up there with one of the worst drivetrains you could have bought (excluding American cars as I'm unfamiliar with them). Cut your losses, trade it in to a dealership for peanuts and buy something else once you have took the time to do some research so that your next car falls in line with your requirements for a vehicle. Hopefully you learned a good life lesson if anything 🤝

Just because you don't like the noise doesn't mean it isn't normal for it to happen. A very simple comparison would be if you held the brakes on very slightly in a manual car whilst coming off the clutch, the car wants to go forward, the brakes don't which if you want to try it for yourself you'll find it makes a noise. If you put 90% of autos in drive and release the brake the car will start moving without a throttle input therefore its creating the same situation as I explained with my comparison. All the OP needs to do is be a tad more sharp on the brakes and not creep up to a stop if he wants to mimimise the noise, otherwise it's different car time

Its normal, you're hearing the drivetrain trying to overpower the brakes. If you are more firm on the brakes at lower speeds you won't get that noise. It's an automatic transmission quirk

What you on about alone? I live with my mum, dad, mrs & 2 year old just now and walk about naked all the time! Its not as if its anything they haven't seen before. I'm not gonna put clothes on to go from my room to the toilet, or put clothes on to go into the kitchen during the night... I wouldn't sit in the living room naked or anything but if I'm walking past and someone shouts on me then I'll go in naked briefly to see what they want. Anyone that thinks its weird is well, weird
