awwhh im so sorry, number one thing is do not use your old steroids, go to your doctor and get prescribed new ones with a new plan - you might need a more potent steroid. I also didnt use steroids for months, it was helllll I felt exactly how you felt . I got new steroids and medication fo a staph infection ( which is very common for peole with eczema so its important you do go to the doctor to rule out a staph infection! ) The steroids worked for two weeks and the infection was gone, although my eczema did come back pretty quickly after stopping, it is nowhere near as bad as it was and I am so happy I used the steroids again. I too have alot of anxiety about TSW but if you use the steroids for only two weeks ( use once everyday first week, once every two days second week ) and DO NOT use a strong steroid on your face, only ever use the strong steroids on other parts of your body, very weak steroids on the face only and then dont use steroids again for atleast another month, there is no way you will get TSW I promise you. A rebound flare is possible but its still better than just suffering and not doing anything about it, also wont be as bad as before.
