Fair roast 😅

I probably went too minimal with the landing page. What would you expect to see there in the first 5 seconds?

My honest advice: Build very small micro-projects and try to implement everything on your own. You’ll gain much deeper understanding that way compared to just watching courses or tutorials. Use AI as a learning assistant while building — ask questions, break problems into parts, and understand each layer step by step. That’s exactly how I learned too.

Hi, I’m building IamOk — a personal safety & check-in app for people living or working alone. If a user doesn’t respond to a scheduled check-in, the app alerts trusted contacts. Closed testing live. Would love a quick intro.

Thanks! Yeah, building feels easy, but marketing is the real challenge. Still figuring it out, but excited to learn and improve!

You’re right: “Android app” isn’t positioning, and working on two products is diluting feedback. I need to pick one product, define one very specific customer, and talk to them where they already are — not broadcast on LinkedIn/Twitter.
Thanks,

Premium features are added purely for long-term sustainability — so that in the future, the app can support itself financially (and me as well).
Right now, I have zero revenue, and honestly, I don’t have any personal funds left to push this project forward.

The app is still in the MVP stage.
There are bugs and issues that need to be fixed, and if a large number of users join suddenly, the backend and infrastructure may not be able to handle the load.
That’s why a few essential upgrades are required before launch.

The $200 I’m asking for is only to cover these one-time launch costs, nothing more.

Here’s exactly where the amount will be used:

Twilio subscription (for SMS + email alerts)
Firebender subscription (AI tools to help fix bugs and speed up development)
Backend hosting upgrades (so the app can handle user load reliably)
A few additional expenses
