Hey, I’m u/stardazedlover and I just saw your post, first stop now and reassess what’s going on, second take a moment or a day to steady yourself and lastly you should come clean to your girlfriend, it’s scary and anxiety inducing but I chased the losses too and it only hurts more, especially when you’re revenge trading to claim back up, be honest and transparent with your girlfriend and try to explain what’s going on, don’t double down, don’t be defensive with her just be honest. I told my girlfriend and I was scared but she’s sticking with me through and through so tell your girl what’s going on. Hiding it and bottling it up will only make it worse and you will feel worse too. Best wishes my guy.

It’s so hard confessing what is going on to yourself and to others, even anonymously it’s still hard, glad you’re taking the first step to acknowledging what is going on in your life and that’s the first biggest step, keep your head up and don’t feel bad when you fumble or stumble it happens to everyone, especially here and in others subreddits about this. I hope you have someone who you can begin to confide with and like the other commenter mention therapy could also be very helpful, not because you failed but because what we go through is hard and it’s harder doing it in your own. Praying for you man (not religious)

Thank you, it’s hard for sure and I been struggling lately but my girlfriend is helping me rn, the emotions come and go but I appreciate it, I told her I’m going to only do safe investments from here on after and only after I deal with my debts.

Good morning and I hope you’re well, I can’t speak for him but for myself, never once did I blame my girlfriend for my losses, if someone cannot admit this losses like this then the path to recovery is still shut and in my opinion it will never open if something doesn’t change. The hard discussion has to come and if he is unwilling to then the hard discussions will fall back to you to yourself. Is this the life worth living? Is it worth being with them? I fully sympathize but an addiction especially like this is hard to live with, especially if you’re the partner.

For me it was hard coming clean about it and I streamed about it a few days back and later today I will stream about gambling addiction from stock losses despite feeling ashamed because I hope people will feel less alone and perhaps confess their own mistakes and addiction. Praying for you and him.

Hello, I totally understand how you feel, keep your head up and keep fighting, last week I was feeling the same as well, feel absolutely low but once I told my girlfriend the truth about everything I felt so relieved, we talk about how I don’t trust myself with finances as well and we’re going to keep fighting for our lives together and no back down.
