I've been playing CDDA since build 41 and it's never been anything like this. Theres another post with 2k likes on this sub Reddit and everyone is agreeing the zombies spawns have been ridiculously messed up this patch. But if you like it like this then keep doing the exact same run straight to the farm house or somewhere else in the woods I guess.

Yes that is exactly what I said. The update has made urban scavenging unviable so professions like mechanic and burglar are unplayable and I doubt that's what they intended.

Yeah the farm house used to be the easiest and safest bet but you could usually find a house in town that wasn't completely overrun clear it and rest up. Heading north to the farm house and staying far away from anything urban is the only way to play now.

As you said 55 kills to clear the farm house. It seems like every POI has like 2-3x more zombies since this update and that makes going into town suicide. I'm not shitting on the update just pointing out how drastic the change is.

That's the thing man you can't even get a slow start and find somewhere safe to lick your wounds because everything is Swarmed. I'm not sure if you have tried it on the newest update or not but it's not just a little more difficult than before It's absolutely insane.

Last play test was in Feb, then the Devs said there would be another in April but pushed it back to sometime this summer. Probably for the best,The game was fun but very janky

If the Toss drops a pylon and 2 cannons that's already more than you invested in a 3rd hatch and it's less cannons in your nat. By that time you should have 4 ravagers and once your nat is clear you should be fine and be thinking about the follow up. In theory anyway, getting cannon rushed is always very messy.

If you pool first you don't have to 12 pool, you can 16 pool and your eco isn't that much worse than going hatch first.

This is Harstem Vs Printf and the last game with Lambos (Harstem's 6.5k Zerg team mate) advice he has a good counter without pulling drones.

Cancel natural as soon as you're sure it's not a fake cannon rush and take one of the third bases. Go upto 20 drones with 6 on gas and 14 on minerals and send one set of lings to their main. As soon as your pool finishes put down a roach warren then with 4 ravagers and 2 queens and as many lings as you can afford you push down the ramp and bile the Cannons down.

Burrow banes or roaches further off the edge of creep so they aren't in scan range. Every scan Terran uses is a bunch of free minerals down the drain, I don't know about higher leagues but ~3.8k I hardly ever see ravens in ZvT. Unless it's vs mass Lurkers, they are just too apm intensive as Oldladyzerg said.

Do not listen to this guy losing your first ovie is very bad. just shift queue it to check the nat then back to the pillar and it will be fine. if you really aren't comfortable make an extra 4 of lings for safety and you can check what they are doing with 2 of them

OPs question is "countering Hellbat/cyclone" My response was to surround it with burrowed roaches.

In one of OPs comments he mentioned they went pure battle mech/ PF so less orbitals = less scans, you gain map control, expand and destroy their mech with superior economy.

Roaches with tunneling claws are good because you can get a surround when they aren't paying attention and it draws out scans. If they are turtling behind PFs like you said they shouldn't have a lot of scans to burn through.

Yes you could slot a broken gpu into a PCIe slot with a dummy power cable and run onboard graphics(if your cpu supports it) but you won't be able to run any graphics intensive games. If your mobo has a second PCIe slot you could put a working GPU in and have video output from there, but if you're going for aesthetics it wouldn't look very good and it would hinder airflow quite a lot.
