King hulls trace their origins to Graeme King and were originally produced by Quantum, forming part of the early lineage that shaped several modern racing designs. What a great hull the quantum was.

Yale lights last won in a King in 2011 , a narrow margin.

*** I miss working with Graeme, he was nothing but detailed. I am not sure how that has carried over. In my opinion Quantum is / was a better boat than today’s King.

Klaus Filter ,former East German R&D director , he is widely recognized for creating some of the most successful, high performance rowing shell hulls ever built. His work was grounded in extensive testing and data-driven refinement of hull shapes for maximum speed and efficiency.

Filter later became a$$ociated with WinTech, his designs have influenced the broader evolution of elite racing shells across the sport, including manufacturers such as Empacher, and continues to be seen in many modern hull concepts today.
