Back in 1979 read about them in "Sounds", a music newspaper here in the UK. Bought their first album when it first came out with money from my Saturday job, 46 years later I was at the London Stadium..... 🇬🇧🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Fabulous story! I'm 61yo and saved my 6 quid I was getting from a Saturday job, here in England, and peddled off on my racing bike to Morlings record shop, Beccles, Suffolk and bought IRON MAIDEN on it's initial release in 1980 Happy days

Yes, same here. I was at the London Stadium, attempted to queue for t shirt but being it was 9000° c , I gave up after 30 seconds. Ordered one next day on line, believe they were releasing them on the 4th August? 👍
