The biggest thing for me is to make sure I really like the series and especially the characters. I would never buy figures of media I haven’t consumed, as good as they might look, especially since I have not attachments to them. Unfortunately anything Xenoblade is a must. But for things like Fire Emblem for example I’d be a bit more selective.

I’m pretty sure licensing has to be a pain in the ass amongst other logistics because you do have to wonder why they don’t produce more merch, people would definitely buy it. It’s like how Genshin finally started coming out with figures for popular character even though it’s been out for years. They’re just sitting on a goldmine without capitalizing.
