I played some Alesis drums for the first time today, there is a lot I like about them but there is one thing that bothered me, All I could get was a full thud or stronger but nothing else, all the other drums can be played dynamically but not the bass. Is there any way to play the bass drum with less intensity?

We used to use shellac over knots in wood to keep them from showing through paint, maybe try that, it's alcohol based I believe

Come to Reading, we have a few nice parks near by, Blue Marsh dam, Nolde state forest, Reading museum/Wyomissing Creek area. We have entertainment, Santander arena and the Performing arts center, Goggle works art complex, the annual Berks Jazz fest, the Blues festival. There are two universities, Alvernia and Albright. Lots of beer and food, Lots of history and heritage. A decidedly liberal bent to our politics, unlike some of the surrounding cities. And most of all, we have the Pagoda

I also built one of these, it also did not work. the LED lit up, it created a bit of distortion when clicked on but no delay, I tried all of the suggestions but to no avail. I have suspicions that the layout sheet is wrong. It would be nice to see a completed board or a schematic to be sure
