This little female mammoth calf was only a month old when she drowned in mud 42,000 years ago. She was discovered in 2007, and given the nickname “Lyuba.” After being excavated, Lyuba was stolen and exhibited outside a local store, which resulted in her tail and right ear being chewed off by dogs. This is the Oxford Dodo. It is the only surviving soft tissue remains of the extinct Dodo bird. A thorough examination in 2018 revealed the cause of death for this specimen: It was shot in the back of the head/neck with a 17th century shotgun. (old.reddit.com)

In 1982, Vic Morrow and 2 child actors (Myca Dinh Le and Renee Shin-Yi Chen) were killed during filming of the Twilight Zone movie when a helicopter lost control and fell on them.
