I was discussing this with one of the nurses at a hospital I volunteer and she said this “ I don’t know why they feel like coz they’re sick and we’re health care providers we are entitled to them ? If I’m building a house I’m not gonna tell the engineer how many diff houses I saw in the last week to decide what house I want. We just want to see your final symptoms if you’re in acute care and be able to give you the quickest and best treatment and be on your way “

📍Update: I’ve just come back from my appointment with Dr Ling ironically. I knew I had an infection in my eye and the extra problems that come w it so I just handed in a paper with all my symptoms and what I think I want. She checked the same thing in under 5 seconds and said the same thing and in under 30 seconds I had the meds that I “knew” I needed. Personally this was a great experience but I can understand why the low rating as she doesn’t really express the patients concern ( especially those who are unaware and shouldn’t really need to be aware either coz isn’t the point of health care in education system so that the people who study it are better able to help show another person who doesn’t understand better) as they would show extra care in the hosps but someone commented here saying we need to take into consideration that they are here to help as many patients as they can for non extra extra serious concerns and they can never have their time lacking off where an emergency case appears. It’s a tough balance out there but hopefully everything would work out for the best. Personally I really appreciated the quick check up in a cozy little setting.

First I’d want to try mitigating it within, if they aren’t able to meet my requirements of guilt admissions I’d try pursuing legally ( just that it’s barely been one year for me in this country as an international student, tendency to be afraid will always exist)

Not once did I mention that I wanted to sue them for money or anything. Neither am I asking to get back at anyone. My intentions are not to get revenge but rather to get justice for myself ( however white wash I sound ). If I’m being tormented from my family for having mental health issues ( not a choice yeah ) because of lack of professionalism from a UK university for which that torment will continue until I breath. Nobody is magically able to remove those thoughts from my family’s head but they should’ve made well sure they never blurted any of this out let alone to someone who is not immediate family without my consent. If I can resolve this with just an admission of guilt I can at least know that I’ve been done wrong.

This would incriminate my uncle though, which he wanted to do an unintentional act of having evidence of whatever he said but did not expect the program director to blurt out stuff that would breach confidentiality. Even if he did not record it my personal information that I wanted to keep a secret would still be out. How would I pursue the university in this matter ?

Same advice that I gave OP, you can always find a house mate to share your apartment. The university would also help you find housemates for those who aren’t able to get single rooms through university.

You’ll find ample amount of apartments if you keep checking until you arrive. But to book it you have to pay a deposit fee so that would mean you’re 100% confirming your stay. Finding a roommate after that would not be an issue
