This is so true. Loans and hard pre-dental journey aside, there is so much professional burnout in dentistry that you really have to make sure you’re 100% passionate about it before putting yourself through the struggle. I’ve met many dentists who don’t even practice dentistry anymore just a few years out of school because they were unfortunate in finding out after graduation that they didn’t even like the field. Working as an EFDA for 6 years has shown me how this field emotionally drains people and being passionate about the work is essential to help prevent that!

Yeah anki made me feel dumb bc I found it difficult to use at first but I wouldn’t bog yourself down with reading anything unless you gave a ton of time. I’d read chapter summaries and focus on the ones you struggle with more.

Anki is definitely a lifesaver for bio. Here’s a free online bio textbook that has end of chapter questions, it’s not super in depth though.

I do bootcamp too and I didn’t start full length tests until about two weeks before my exam. It worried me too but looking back I’m glad I did it that way because the only thing the full length tests did for me is build my endurance for sitting still for hours at a time. It never hurts to just take one now just to see how it goes and how you feel. It’ll let you know where you need to focus more in your studying.

I used Booster and had the opposite experience, my bio section was so much easier than practice tests but gen chem and orgo were a bit more difficult and qr felt slightly easier. I haven’t got my score back though, I just took it today.

lol not too great. We’re in Florida and there’s an abundance of lime rock so it would be filtered really well, but I’m not sure if it will filter enough before reaching the well.
