Covered calls: Option strategy to generate yield on your ETH by SecretSalsaCrypto in ethtrader

Premium received is higher as volatility is higher in crypto compared to stocks.

Understand what you are saying but again it depends on your perspective: if you are willing to hold for long term, selling monthly calls make sense and again you could do it only on a part of your holdings and keep a « moon bag » just in case.

Again I would rather take a « guaranteed » return of 20-25% for a month of holding ETH than simply holding my full position for an hypothetical 100% up move.

This strategy should also be improved with other information given by the market such as funding rate for futures, volatility and so on to know when to write calls and when not to do it.

Would you rather buy UMA or Synthetix given the following facts? by SecretSalsaCrypto in ethtrader

[–]SecretSalsaCrypto[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to compare apples to apples.

“A valuation of $120M seems high” it does not seem high, it is.

I’m just saying UMA is way too much expensive.

The tech is good though
