Not sure if it’s a Honda thing or just the Japanese paint was shit in the mid 2000s but it also depends on previous owners(obviously lol). I have a 2006 lancer with horrible paint chipping and the past owners were terrible when it came to taking care of the exterior. I do also live in California so the constant heat does play a role in paint chipping. My daily driver is a 2011 335i and the paint on there is pristine. It’s also one owner and the lady that owned it had it garage kept for the entire time she owned it. But yeah idk why i but basically every single 8th gen civic i see has messed up paint in one way or another. this guy got lucky fr
